Tim Duncan. How many rings could the Celtics have won? Would they have done better than 4 with Timmy?

Probably given any team with Tim Duncan woulda been an automatic trip to the finals in the 1999-2007 Eastern Conference.

So Bird was a PF in your eyes, was Parrish the PG and McHale the SG?

He played the 4 all the time

He played the 4 all the time

McHale started at PF and Parrish started at C from 1985 on.

If Boston drafted Duncan, he wouldn't be the best PF of all time because he would have played center his entire career.

He would have overdosed before getting to play.

ROFL the sporting media would have been slobbing his knob for the past 14 years, Boston would have had huge ratings and media attention the whole time as they won 8 titles and they would regularly appear in discussions of the best teams ever and duncan would already be enshrined as a top 5 all-time player and had many, many more commercials and endorsements.

Kobe would have been interchangable with tracy mcgrady to this point in their careers as the Lakers would have been irrelevant the whole time

I started a similar thread recently, Celtics/Grizzlies could have drafted Kobe a year before as well. Either team might have had both.

It didn't get much action.

No, I would never think of that, he's won 4 rings, he alone knows what it takes without help.

Now with a team Like Boston, that has money and the NBA media behind them, Duncan would of likely won more than 4 and definitely won a back to back. Boston ownership would know to pair Duncan with another 7'er for help defense if nothing else and would shy away from playing stretch 4 as we have all seen, this does not work.

If Gray, some worthless fuckeron the hornets with a putuitary gland problem can best the Lakers frontline... imagine another decent 7' paired with the best PF of all time.
