Expected the Knicks to win one. Were competitive the first two games but Celtics started playing better in games 2 and 3. Injuries aren't a good excuse but sometimes they are too hard to overcome. Knicks need an athletic rebounding big man who can hit some jumpers and a back up swing guy who is a knock down three point shooter.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but yesterday Dallas was up 64-41 over Portland when the Blazers comeback began. This was the exact score today with Celtics and Knicks, and New York came storming back. Boston would have won in 5 anyway, but it would have been fun to see the Knicks pull it off today.

Kinda ironic. The Knicks needed depth and the Nuggets need scoring :lol

Both teams will improve next season. Nuggets have young guys and a crap load of cap space moving forward

Yeah, a history of losing, like how he didn't win the National Championship in one year at Syracuse.

Anyway, it's better it ended this way. The series should be 2-2 going back
to Bahston, but whatever. Might as well not drag out the pain.

This is not a Melo issue, it's a coaching issue and management getting
the right people around Melo.

We knew this was going to happen when we made the trade. If
we still had Felton,Chandler, Gallanari, and Molkov, it would be a better
team.

Its a Amare issue, he basically threw coach mike d under the bus in the press conference.

Amare = loser
Carmelo = loser

I think they'd do better off with a big bull dog center like Perkins who can rebound, finish around the basket, defend the post, and block shots.

Spike's wearing the wrong hat, the pimp orange from the other night fit him a tad bit better. Celtics get a few days extra rest before facing the Heat which they'll gladly take.

only a year ago we had none of the current big 3, saying its just their 1st season and it isn't like the Heat big3 who trained together in the training camp preceding this season. Billups dat nig be fairly old while Melo/amare still young and worth counting on. the dual stars will achieve great successes the coming years i believe, we niggas just need some patience now imho.

The interesting part will be the comparison that will take place between the two organizations, particularly as long as Carmelo plays/is a Knick.

I mentioned in a Game Thread that it reminds me of the way the Seahawks and Browns are joined at the hip as long as Holmgren is the President/Parcells-like czar in Cleveland given that he was available to fill the same role in Seattle when they canned their GM towards the end of the 2009 season and they chose to go in a different direction despite his history as coach with the team. Will make for interesting viewing.

Now Tim Legler's talking about how the Celtics look like a championship team again. :rolleyes Yeah, playing overrated no-defense teams with a playoff fail coach, playoff fail superstars, and an injured finals MVP will make you look good.

the Knix were brutal at home ....... Chauncey and a healthy Amare would have gotten at east one win but they really need to upgrade players 4-12

I think a lot of people got down on the Celtics because of a perceived mental fragility after the Perkins trade. But if collectively right in the head, they still have a lot of the tools to make a deep run. On paper, they should have beaten the Knicks easily. But I definitely thought the Knicks had enough to talent to push them further. After the first two games, it seemed that way. Maybe they would have if the injuries didn't become an issue.

Seems like Jermaine O'Neal actually became a factor in limited minutes and he might be very important going forward. Before it's all said and done, Troy Murphy might need to get some meaningful minutes and contribute. I do think they have a very good chance against the Heat.
