He has 10 or 12 of their 43 points

He had 7 when I last looked. Even if he has 10, they have come off broken plays and he has not had a real imprint. Not playing bad, but just kind of out there.

Officiating totally has me on tilt. Fact of the matter is there is no reason to expect the Spurs to get these calls so if they want to win they'll just have to find a way to play through it.

They have to minimize turn overs and Memphis offensive rebounds. Those are the two keys to the game as far as I'm concerned.

The Spurs aren't playing as well as you're making them out to be, IMO. Turnovers and bad rebounding will always hurt you far more than bad shooting and right now those are two areas the Spurs are getting their asses kicked in.

Also, Memphis is shooting pretty well themselves. I agree Memphis is playing well though and obviously its worriesome.

I think we're playing better today. My big concern is the pathetic defense for Bonner, Hill and RJ.

When Bonner is in the game Memphis score very easy. Bonner fronting Z-Bo kill or D. Mayo killing Hill also didn't help.

We shouldn't expect to be getting any calls on the road. What I want to see from the Spurs is one dominant quarter of shut-down defense and making their open shots - something we regularly used to see in the title years. One solid quarter of execution - we need it badly for this series and beyond.

The problem with this Grizz team is that they hardly ever go cold for extended periods of time. We rarely go on runs of more than 5+ pts. At some point, they have got to go cold and we need to put a 10+pt run together.

We need shooters though... nobody is shooting it straight...

Some of those misses have been because the passes were off the mark, and the shooters had to reach to gather the ball so the defense had time to rotate. The shooting has been bad, but the passes haven't helped. There's nothing like a couple of easy ones to get a shooter in his rhythm, and nothing like a couple of rushed ones to get him out of it.

Griz will be packing the paint on Parker. Shooters need to be ready, especially after the second pass.

Pop may have shot himself in the foot when he trained the players to "pass the ball on a good shot to get a great shot". Great shots just don't seem to come around as often in the playoffs, but the players are still out there fishing for them.

THAT is dead on. Some people underestimate momentum changers like that, but it's a bit part of the game. That pass was totally unnecessary, and it definitely changed the momentum of the game and destroyed the nice rhythm the Spurs had.

Tim has been extremely efficient at scoring this series, it's one bad half from him.

I just see him out there struggling to find a rhythm, especially with his post game. He doesn't get the ball in there enough to "figure out" the defense, both the help D and his defender. Idk...at this point with the way the Spurs utilize him, I expect no more than 15-16 points from Timmy...and that's if he's on a roll. Tonight is looking like one of those 8 point nights where nothing falls.

I hope I'm wrong because I feel like the team will need his scoring in the 2nd half. Tony can't keep being perfect from the field.

He's as good as ever on defense though. They need to just stop going to him in the post and let him play 40 minutes protecting the paint.

In your heart you know he's not. He's still great, and he's still Timmy, but he gives up shots now that he didn't before. Not to mention the boards that give the other teams second chance points. That offensive board he gave up to Gasol on the FT that gave the Griz a 4-point play. Never would have happened just a few years ago. He can't tip them up 3 or 4 times before finally coming down with the ball. That's a big part of the defense. We hold teams to reasonable shooting percentages - on the first try. Then they shoot about 80% on second chance ops because the defense is out of position.
