Bonner/Blair Combo vs Splitter/Novak Combo

2 of our sets of bigs, one obviously used sparingly this season. Which pair do you think would be more effective?

From what I saw in the regular season, the Splitter/Novak combo would be far more effective. For one, you have more size. Second, you have defense contributions from both players, as opposed to bonner/blair.

Splitter, as you all have seen, can play solid D. Novak, while probably not the best defender, seems to play a lot like Bonner, except for the fact that he seems to be a little hardier and really hustles on defense. He seems to play with a lot more confidence.

I've also observed that both Splitter and Novak can put up big numbers when given the minutes. Splitter has had several breakout games, most with less than 20 min of pt. Novak had a thrilling outburst in one of his first games where pop gave him considerable minutes.

Oh, how i'd love to see the Splitter/Novak combo instead of the Bonner/Blair combo in the playoffs....

You're basically an asshole. People who advocate for a Splitter/Novak frontcourt are either a troll or have an IQ below room temperature. And as much credit as I'd like to give you, you can't even live up to troll status. But you do live up to asshole status.

LOL Ok. So who's in for some heavy Novak minutes???? I mean, he played less than Chris Quinn and James Anderson in the regular season. He was a D-leaguer before the Spurs picked him up. Ime Udoka almost played as many minutes as Novak in the regular season. Yet this asshole wants to see him as the 4th big? Are you fucking retarded? If you think Bonner's defense is bad, just wait until you get a load of Novak. You're not even arguing he should play the 3-spot, but the 4 or 5? You sir, are not very smart (and an asshole)

I think that's a little harsh to call all people calling for Splitter PT trolls. We could easily say the same about the Bonner homers like yourself.

But before we both get into another flaming debacle, how about we BOTH calm down. Let's not make this hissy fit a big deal.

But personally, from what I've seen, Novak can hit the 3 pretty darn well. You should go look up his career 3pt fg% on NBA.com. Similar to Bonner in that sense. And like I said at the beginning, the game on March 19 where he scored 19 pts and 5 3-pointers shows that he can post up big numbers. Now granted, its one game, but it does show what he's capable of doing. And honestly, when you look at how Bonner plays defense, its not hard to upgrade that side of the ball. While Novak may not play the best defense (I've seen a lot better from other players his size), he seems to play with more hustle than Bonner on that end of the floor. This is my opinion.
