I think a small key to this series will be the Spurs ability to kick it out into the fast break.

There is one thing the Pistons are not great at and its defending the running game.

Hence the reason teams like Miami and New Jersey took the Pistons to 7 games.

The Spurs will want to push the tempo and force things onto the Pistons, whos defense, when reacting to that is, is slightly not as good.

Also against Miami it also seemed there rotations to Wade when he was healthy were slow, so Parker and Ginobili might want to take advantage of that.

Can the Spurs make this a quick one??

If they run.

Spurs can run with the best of 'em, but when was the last champ who depended on transition offense?

I agree. If the spurs want to win this series they can't get into a half court game with Detroit.

Im not saying depend on it.

The half court offensive execution, wich was good against Denver and Seattle, two good defensive teams, will obviously be a factor again.

Im saying, run the ball as much as you can, because Detroit's transition D is not great.

Not saying be Phoenix and forget D and run run and play nothing but O.

Play the D, get back on D quick, but also run at them HARD.

The Spurs should run at times in the series. No doubt.

They can, but, it would be a longer series.

Make it quick, and run like an mfer.

Why can't the team with the best defense in the league get into a halfcourt game against the Pistons? Come on, people...

Detroit's defense is very good when it is set and the game will get pretty ugly.

Detroit's defense is very good when it is set

There defense was pretty set in game 5, and they allowed alot of penetration, and alot of mid range shots.

Things Ginobili, Duncan, Parker, Mohammed, Robinson need to take advantage of.

Mohammed can go ahead and just take it at Ben Wallace when 5 feet and in.

Upfake and go up, Wallace, err Ben and Rasheed, will fall for it everytime.

Miami and Phoenix are the best 2 half court teams in the league. Wade is the best penetrator in the league also. He's got strength and speed and is hard to stop. Detroit had more success than anyone this year against Miami's penetration.

You're right, Mouse, that really counts in the grand scheme of things, just like the "varsity" chant...

Mavs should have left early that game to start organizing their fishing tackle boxes...
