The San Antonio Spurs may be in the penthouse when it comes its National Basketball Association playoff seeding, but fans looking for tickets should try the bargain basement.
Tickets for Wednesday’s Game 5 of the top-seeded Spurs’ series with the eighth-ranked Memphis Grizzlies are on sale on the secondary market for just $8, according to the website TicketsNow. The cheapest ticket for the game available on the Spurs’ website is $15.35.
After four championships in the previous 12 seasons, it may be that Spurs fans are blase about early post-season play. A match-up with the glamor-free Grizzlies may also play a part.
Game 4 between the teams is Monday night in Memphis and, with fans perhaps buzzed by the home team leading the series 2-1, demand for tickets is relatively high, with the average price at $155.
