Sequ is right. The Spurs just need to play good enough to win at home, and try and steal one on the road. They may yet escape this series.

However, the bigger point is: they are simply delaying the inevitable. Pop is out of ideas, and the Spurs will get flattened by OKC or any of the other contending teams. This season is going to end in a painful playoff defeat that exposes all our weaknesses.

I'm not bummed about this series per se, I'm just saddened by how this once-proud team looks on the court against legit playoff opposition.

Haha. Sequ, you never cease to confuse the shit out of me. You were giving up on them all season, saying stuff like: "I agree with Laker fan...Spurs are built (this year) for regular season wins against shitty teams. Spurs can't beat LA, Boston, Orlando, Miami or Dallas....Maybe not even the Hornets" Now they're down 3-1, and coming off an absolutely pitiful second half collapse, and you're a true believer?

I'd ask for some of what you're having, but honestly I'd be too afraid. I mean that in a good way though.:lol

This was one of the worst 2nd half's in Spurs history, not because of the loss, but because of how badly they played. They honestly looked old out there.

However, this is one of the few times I have to agree with Sequ.

It ain't over yet.

Win the next one. Put pressure on Memphis for Game 6.

If any team, during any season, is capable of overcoming a 1-3 hole with 2 of the final 3 at home, it is the Spurs. Imagine the spark it would light if they are able to pull it off? Game 5 could be the first win of the 15 we need for the chip.

Okay....why not? Until Boston beat the Yanks from down 0-3 to beat them 4-3, NO MLB team had ever came back from an 0-3 deficit. They lived around the question, WHY NOT US?

The Spurs need that same mentality, why not them? They need to start playing like a true #1 instead of this shadow puppet version controlled by the NBA-CIA.

They've come back to force a game 7 after being down 3-1. Now I'd like to see them come back and win a game 7.

The point is to go as far as possible. Loosing in six is still better than loosing in five. Loosing in the second round is still better than loosing in the first.

Spurs fans are spoiled in the sense that anything short of a championship will be considered a failure. Those days are over but it doens't mean they shouldn't fight for the better, even if it's plain obvious that the ultimate goal won't be achieved.

All the season I thougth this team ceiling was the West finals, I never believed they had any chance to go for championship. But I still believe they can beat Memphis, and even if they don't I just hope they go down trying it.

The problem is that we don't match up very well w/ them. What's frustrating is that we have the right pieces to match up, but Pop chooses otherwise.

The Grizz basically called us out even before the WC playoffs were officially set. Where do they do that shit? Callin' out the #1 team in the West and owning them?

I don't think it's over either. Spurs just need to look at each game one at a time. They pull out game 5, all of a sudden ALL the pressure shifts to Memphis. They'll have to close out at home which will be a new experience for most of them. All S.A. has to do is lure them back home for the finish. Tough task, but not impossible. Spurs just got to win the next one.

I believe Manu, Tony and Tim will pull out one within themselves. They're more than capable.

They're old but not finished just yet. Good luck to you guys. :tu

I know it sounds crazy but I think they'll be less trouble against OKC it's a matchup thing. memphis has length and bulk, perkins is the only one on OKC with both. I think Blair would do fine against them cause he could push them around. I just hope we get a chance to find out.

Manu got hurt...that changed everything. This series should be tied at worst. Losing that first game at home was HUGE. The difference between 2-2 and 3-1 is enormous. If the Spurs lose this series, and they will if they don't step it up about five notches, you can look back on Game 82 against the Suns...that's where the season was ended for the Spurs.
