your team is not facing Memphis... with Pau Gasol playing like a pussy, Randolph would eat him alive... Zach>>>Landry

I could see the Griz doing the same thing to the Lakers what they're doing now to the Spurs.

Hornets are the worst West team in the playoffs by far. Followed closely by Denver, then Spurs :(

IMO best teams of the west in the playoffs:
1. OKC
2. Dallas
3. Portland
4. Grizzlies
5. Lakers
6. Spurs
7. Denver
8. New Orleans

It's quite possible that we'll see the Lakers face the Grizzlies in the WCF... then we can put this little theory to the test.

Lakers are still the champs, and still the team to beat. Until someone beats them, there is really no reason to talk trash.

Dallas is WAY too high on that list... they won't beat the Lakers.

1. OKC
2. Grizzlies
3. Lakers
4. Mavs
5. Blazers
6. Spurs
7. Hornets
8. Nuggets

(of course, this could be just a case of me wanting the team that beat the Spurs to be better than they actually are... I thought the Suns were hot shit last year. I was half right...)

again logic my friend.

OKC, Dallas, Portland + Grizz. Only teams not to lose a playoff game at home.

I dunno man, that's a bit one dimensional. By that logic Denver should have won 82 games this season because they averaged more points than anyone else

LOL grasping at straws to feel better ....
nothing like building up your opponent when you are taking an ass whuppin'

The Grizz sought yall out like a lion seeks out the slowest and weakest gazelle in a herd. That wouldnt be so bad ...except they knew it (though they deny it), and yall knew it too, your franchise's greatest player also knew it ...says he knew it ...but hasnt been able to do much to make them pay for their hubris.

That being said, I expect duncan to put in 18 and 12 with 3 blocks tonight and the spurs win...how big will be determined by if Hill, Neal, etc step up to support the spurs big 3 ...

:lol Spurfan reaching for anything and everything. Chris Paul is an awful matchup for the Lakers. Grizz have a nice fc but nothing LA couldn't handle. We have Bynum and Odom not Bonnor and Blair.

typical GNSF mentality. ":cry Anyone who beats the mighty, classy Spurs have to be an elite team in the West :cry" The Grizzlies are gonna go out in 5 max in the second round. Fortunately, they ran into a team that was built for the regular season but was soft as charmin in the playoffs

They didn't tank for nothing

I agree with the OP. I'm glad memphis was smart enough to tank games to face probably the worst team in the west.

I don't understand this topic, entirely..

1) Memphis hasn't beaten San Antonio yet. Yes, they are in position to do so, but they still need a win.
2) Lakers still haven't beaten the Hornets yet. See 1)
3) If Memphis and Lakers win round 1, round 2 has yet to be played.

Now, had the Lakers gotten the first seed, or Memphis the 7th, then I can understand. It would have been tougher on the Lakers in the first round. However, LA did lose twice to the Grizzlies in the regular season. They traded blowouts in LA, and split reasonably close games in Memphis. However, the Lakers swept the Hornets. Perhaps LA would take them more seriously in round 1 than they did the Hornets.

Lakers would be in the same boat as the Spurs IMO.

1. Gasol and Zbo are better than Landry and Okafor
2. Kobe Stoppers. Memphis has two (Tony Allen and Battier), Hornets has one (Ariza). Expect Kobe to drop his shooting % to high 30's.
3. Conley and OJ Mayo would drop Troy Hudson numbers on Derek Fisher.
4.Grizzlies were a better team than the Hornets going into Postseason. Its no surprise they are beating the Spurs. The Grizz are at their absolute peak past AS break.
5.Grizzlies can match LA's production and hustle in the paint.
