Not a big poster here, didn't want to start a thread as a newbie but in the event there is 1 spur representative monitoring this board, can a spur player PLEASE commit 1 hard foul when any grizzly is driving in for a layup. I don't care if there is a suspension, I don't want to see anyone get hurt, and I don't even care if the spurs lose(not), just knock 1 grizz on their ass....

The hardest foul we've seen from the Spurs in this series was Duncan on McDyss.

Why does everyone think hard fouls are the magic answer when their team is getting face-fucked in the playoffs? I'd rather see Tony Parker pull his head out his ass and run the offense without turning the goddamn ball over. I'd rather see Tim Duncan drop his Alton Lister impersonation.

Didnt Bonner hammer KG during a Raptors-T'Wolves game ?

That's exactly what I've been calling for since early in Game 2.

At this point, I'm pretty sure it's not going to put any fear in the grizz. So it's not about winning or losing, I'm just sick and tired of seeing the uncontested layups, uncontested jumpshots and ticky tack fouls. A good playoff type foul will at least make ME feel a little better.:smokin

Soft teams don't give hard fouls. Not in their DNA

If there has to be a sacrificial lamb, let his name be Matt Bonner. Take one for the team.

Classy teams don't give hard fouls. At least paraphrase it.

I wouldn't mind Manu bumping heads with Tony allen or Blair/Dice sending some kind of message.... hell, even TD committing a hard foul could at the very least let us know that this team gives a shit about something.

Oh, Gee!!

can I get a flop, Manu?

Hard fouls should have been in games 1234. Not the eliminating game

I second this...hard fouls will light the fire

Bonner needs to throw a chair on Gasol's head. His suspension of 10+ games would give the Spurs a chance at the title.

This. The Grizzlies are too thug for the Spurs. The Grizz got some hard, pipe-hittin niggas in their backcourt while San Antonio has a couple uncircumcised euros. They simply can't match their physicality, and that's not even including the obvious front court discrepancy.

You train to commit hard fouls.
These softies would get hurt just thinking of hitting someone hard.

Horry won a title with a simple hipcheck.

Hey, I would respect Bonner ...if he gave SIX HARD FOULS!

In the first two minutes of playing time he gets!!!!!

This would pump up the team...get Bonner out of the fuckin' game and lead to a goddamn emotional victory.

No, wrong. First, that was not a "hard foul" like the OP is advocating. He's talking about taking someone down on a drive to the hoop. Second, Nash has admitted that he threw himself into the scorers table. Third, it was the stupid reaction of the Suns bench that got them suspended, not the foul. Fourth, the Suns had all their players back when the Spurs closed them out.

Already talked about Horry. I don't recall ever seeing Bowen take someone down on a drive to the hoop. Bowen was more about the sneaky subtle bumps than the hard fouls.
