Take out all the softies from this team which is 75% of the roster.

Sam Young is actually the worst starter of any playoff team IMO..off the top of my head, there might be worse, if I think about it, but off the top, I can't think of a worse starter..

Oh ya, other than Richard Jefferson, obviously..

How do you let the other team shoot over 50% in an elimination game...?

If Sam Young played for the Spurs, he would have been stuck behind some old scrub or a soft player like Jefferson, see: Malik Hairston..

but but but . . . Jefferson is much better! He ran around cones for two weeks! And since when can minimum scale 2nd round scrubs play?

Hell, I don't care how much of a scrub Sam Young looks like, he's played with heart and guts against the Spurs. Fact is, during the 2009 NBA draft, I was so hoping he would've fell to the Spurs at #37. After Memphis took him @ #36, I was relieved DeJuan Blair was there instead. It wasn't until this year this series that I wished it would've worked out the other way. Blair has looked like crap and Young has played with heart - much more so than RJ.

wasn't Sam picked a spot ahead of Blair?

I love DeJuan but damn....

He looked like he blocked 20 shots, including a couple of goal tends... we give all these scrubs (Young, Arthur, Vazquez) the confidence that the sky is the limit... it's really hard to watch...

RJ sucks, but Young also had the benefit of a lot of little guys guarding him.

i'd prefer the spurs give the crap guys looks instead of getting burned by randolph. Them missing is our only hope.

Yep sure was. For the production the Spurs are getting from Blair when it counts, it looks like perhaps the Spurs chose the wrong Pitt player. Imagine Young as the starting SF, as opposed to the overpaid RJ?

Young smoked RJ too.

If I remember right there was a play that was shown again coming back from a break when Young faked RJ out of position and drove by him for the score.

The guys guarding him, RJ being the main culprit, are jumping at his fakes way too much. It's only been in his scouting report since his college days that he always pump fakes.

I guess it's too much to ask a professional ball player to figure it out.

Young's signature move is that classic "up-fake". It's every bit as convincing as Manu's in that no matter how many times he does it, his opponent falls for it every time.

Young wouldn't be much of a factor in this series if RJ didn't let him pump fake and drive past him every fucking time like he's guarding Michael Jordan or somethin.
