View Full Version : Antonio McDyess, why?
I love his heart but he has absolutely no affect on defense against Zach. At least Dejuan can rebound and get physical with him. I'd like to see him get at least 2-3 minutes this game... you know, since he started most of the year when we were dominating.
Offense from outside which Blair doesn't provide. Blair is useless against big front courts like Zach and Gasol. He makes rookie mistakes and turns the ball over a lot. McDyess has been there before, and doesn't panic in tight spots. Blair rushes and gets caught up in the moment.

Pop needs to put in Green ASAP. Not only are the Grizz's guards and forwards killing them inside, but they're getting rebounds and put backs with ease, all they have to do is reach over Hill and grab the board.

I wouldn't have an issue with that at all. Danny Green is actually a really good on-the-ball defender. He seems really tough-minded and obviously has more size than Hill and more heart than RJ is a benefit. Of course, we all know he'll never see any court time. So that's not going to happen.
Back to Dice, he was once a very tough, physical defender. Injuries and age have robbed him of his overall effectiveness. He'd probably be more suited for a 3rd big role on most teams, but because the Spurs are so porous in the interior, he's forced into a starter's role.
As for Blair, after watching how effective his UPitt teammate, Sam Young, has been, I'm really starting to wish the Spurs had been able to take him instead of his college teammate Blair.

Where the fuck is Splitter, he was a big reason they came back, setting screens, scoring a bit, deflecting balls etc.
