Marc Gasol.

Just saying. This would be sick and the Spurs wouldn't play Fucking Small ball anymore.

Pop would just stick him at the 3 point line and tell him to fire away...

Sad that he would have to give up more money again just to see it wasted on a contract like Rj's

I think we should piss Timmy's cash away on Greg Oden

It's this thing where if a big man has one you shouldn't start a worthless thread about acquiring him with cap space.

Any legit 7'0 big-man who can help Duncan anchor the paint on D. That and a perimeter defender or 2....

Duncan deserves that money he should take it.

Fuck that shit. Duncan gets the max. The Spurs can suck on all that money they saved by giving RJ 15 million more dollars over three years.

How do you ask Tim Duncan with a straight face to take a paycut after what the team handed to the RJ/Bonner combo?

One thing not to forget in all this: Duncan got screwed more than any other player by the last CBA. Kevin Garnett got one of the last contracts before it ended, which paid him 126 million dollars over six years and it was based on upside and not performance. Duncan would have made so much more than that, but wasn't able to.

I don't see how Duncan can live on that measly salary. The NBA sucks.

Even if duncan opts out to get a smaller salary, I think the spurs are still over the cap.

This.

Why would Duncan give money back to people that don't know how to manage money.

The last time he took a pay cut it worked out brilliantly. If I'm Duncan I'm saying, "fuck you, pay me"..

Duncan has four more years left IMO....The fact is he is not at all playing like a 18 million dollar player...Front office needs to have a sit down with Duncan ask him to take less bring in young help(if possible) and play him less min according to match ups...

Duncan is no longer a PF

But he can be a solid C for 2-4 years!

Use 3 mil to buy another team's first round draft pick - just saying.

20 millions for a 26 years old backup center is expensive.
Even if it's your franchise player.

Duncan has earned every penny of next year's salary. I'm sure Gilbert Arenas isn't turning down his weekly paychecks for doing basically nothing.
