View Full Version : All Shields has to do is Improve his standup

I've seen the GSP-Shields fight and it confirmed one thing that I knew all along: GSP gets rattled when that pretty face of his gets whacked. The man has a weak soul and he has to thank his freakish athleticism for much of his wins in the UFC.

GSP was so fucking scared of getting the fight into the ground that he preferred to fight Shields standing up.

Just imagine what Shields could have done to GSP if he had a better standup game.

Now for Shields, he has to seriously improve his standup game in order to have a chance. Heck, he'd better hire one of the Mayweathers if wants to really get the belt out of GSP's hands.

Point is, GSP is way above Shields skillwise, but he doesn't have he heart to finish an inferior opponent. Now this is probably the reason why he doesn't want to move up into the middleweight division: the guy doesn't have the heart and confidence to do it and he knows that he's going to get exposed bigtime.

Shields stand up is as good as it's gonna get. GSP was worried about the eye but he still went out there and won easily. He just looked bad in the win..

r1-2. GSP showed how much physically stronger and quicker he is than Sheilds.
r3-5. GSP fought half-blind and still managed a sick head kick and jabbed his way to a decision.

Shields has tons of heart, but he can't stand-up with anyone no matter who trains him. Hell, Sonnen trained with him and he couldn't hold GSP on the ground. Shields lost his last fight too, he's lucky he got this shot.

Just like what Cesar Gracie said, that French Bagel hasn't been in deep waters before. He's never been tested by someone as skilled and athletic as him. Heck, even a D-Leaguer like Shield punched a fucking hole in his eye. What do you think would Silva to do that Frenchman?:lol:lol Silva is going to kill him and send his soft ass back to France.:lol:lol

GSP was heads and shoulders ahead of a weak-ass Shields. Imagine Silva, who's longer, stronger, and just as skilled as him fighting a softie like GSP? He'd be lucky to get out of the first round and when he does get knocked out, BSP would just quit, go back to his province, and eat bagels all his life. :lol:lol

He would not stand with Silva at all.. The fight would look like the Sonnen fight or GSP gets KO'd, either way it would be exciting..

Silva was getting raped by Sonnen for 22 min and pulled a sub out of his ass.. Silva is great at everything in MMA except for one. His wrestling completely blows..
