If Memphis beats OKC is that the bigger upset than the beating the Spurs down? I think it is because the Thunder have been everyone's pick and the Spurs were considered over-rated! What you guy's think?

No, but if they continue to beat OKC this convincingly, there's no reason to think they can't win a title, which would make the first round loss hurt a lot less.

i dont think it would be a bigger upset really but i think it would prove that memphis beating us wasnt just a fluke.. even though i like okc and kevin durant and now hate memphis i think that if memphis won it would make me feel a little better about us losing to them in the first round...

I'd like to see one team from this series win it all, and I don't particularly care which team it is. So far nobody's playing better ball than Memphis.

Memphis looks like the best team in the league right now. IMO they will win this series and have a good shot at beating the Lakers.

not really, but a series win would solidify them in the West for sure.

btw: if Z-Bo isn't earning his new contract, most of the league should be working for free!

I think it will be a bigger upset if they sweep or do it in 5. Spurs took them to 6. OKC has already lost 1st game at home 2 days after Grizzlies played. Their home crowd should be better than the Spurs' and they got blown out. The games were at least close in the Spurs' losses at home.

No. 8 beating 1 is always bigger even if we were even most of the second half of the season.

spurs weren't beaten by the 8 seed, but by the age.....people should keep that in mind

Stop that. Heat, Lakers, Magic, Nuggets, Celtics, and Mavericks are all older. Spurs 7th, Bulls 8th. Youth may be more of problem. Not the younger players necessarily but Pop's decision to bench them. No Anderson/Green/Novak instead of Jefferson for even a minute?

Grizzlies play playoff style basketball. Moreso than jump shooting teams like the Spurs.

We adjusted to age by becoming three point shooters. That worked for the regular season, but won't win much in the playoffs.

May make th h urt less but it doesn't change that the Spurs werent good enough.

Exactly. The coach refused to play some of his young players during the season, and refused to play his older players enough minutes during the playoffs.

It was'nt an upset that they beat us, if Manu never got hurt then yes it would've been. So a way better than usual 8 seed beating a less than full strength 1 seed is no upset.

The element of surprise is gone.

Uhhhh....guess you didn't realize that Memphis's franchise player was out for the season?
