It really should be Pop and Buford. They made the trade for Dick, and then reworked his contract. And more to the point, put together that horrible front court that never had a chance against the front court of the Lakers and even the Mavs. And Pops love of Bonner still sickens me.

E) Grizzlies!

You win as a team you lose as a team. The Grizzlies were the better team in this series.

When you win someone is responsible and when you lose someone is responsible.

In this case Pop and Buford.

Surprised Manu isnt on the list. Manu played hard, but his recklessness during a pointless regular season game certainly didn't help matters. That being said, it's how he's always played. It's who he is, so you take the good with the bad.

Out of the 4 options, it's hard not to say Pop. A lot is on him for what he did/didn't do during the regular season. And though the Griz were an incredibly difficult matchup, Pop was noticeably out-coached.

for this series, not one guy is to blame. TP of course started of slow and that's one of the reasons we lost. his play in game 1 was just bad. at the same time, Pop holding out Manu for game 1 was probably a bad decision. Manu said he could play and Pop has a history of being really cautious w/ injuries. the Playoffs aren't the time to do that. he should've listened to his best player. you don't see Phil Jackson telling Kobe he can't play. game 1 was the key game though. Memphis doesn't come back down 0-2. you can point at Bonner shooting nowhere near his reg. season 3 point % a well.

if you really want to get to the real problem though it's the front office. the FO made a knee jerk reaction w/ RJ trading him. in retrospect, they probably should have wen't hard at Ariza or someone of a defensive mold and then used the rest of the money to go after an additional big, along with McDyess. you could go back further than that, though, and blame it on Peter Holt not wanting to spend the money to get Scola. after not re-signing Jackson in '03 (LOL Turkoglu), that was easily the FO's biggest mistake. team would have probably won it all in '04 & '06 ('06 they should have won anyway). team could probably would have won it all five times in-a-row if the FO hadn't been penny pinchers. then when the FO does decide to blow money they do it on the wrong guy.

It's too bad that the Grizzlies decided to hold Manu out of game 1 and not play Splitter the whole season.

Manu's fault? He's the only one that brings it every night.

It's Tim Duncan's fault for aging.

How do you think Pop felt when he found out the President of Basketball Operations had Splitter benched the entire season? He must have been livid.

I voted pop, but his extension on the court, Ginger, would have been a candidate as well.

Damn they killed him just a little too late!

Personally, I think it's a conspiracy so Obama can see the Bulls win the 'ship this year. Spurs were in the way...
