I would have agreed two weeks ago...but after getting bent over by Cam Newton then crapping the bed against the Colts it's pretty obvious the guys Wade left in charge are pretty clueless. The defense and the run game were the only things holding the team together over the past few weeks.
Take Wade, Schaub, AJ, and Mario away and put a rookie QB at the helm and you have a team that's close to equal to the Colts.

The problems aren't going to get fixed until next season when everyone is back and healthy. Getting those two back will obviously make the team better but they don't make them much more than a one and done playoff team. Considering all the circumstances, I'm content with that for this season.

Then it shouldn't hurt to give them a shot. We already know Yates isn't ready to lead a playoff team. He's a rookie third string qb. We'll be lucky to win another with him at the helm the rest if the year.

So jacoby jones not being able to run a correct route is yates' fault? We are one and done anyway. Might as well unleash him in the playoffs.

Both were brought in and evaluated. Kubiak is a QB guy, so there is no doubt in my mind that if he thought either of them were worth putting in there ahead of Yates he would have done it. In fact, it speaks volumes to how much they actually have left...which is obviously next to nothing.
Yates has made mistakes but it's a bit unfair to throw him under the bus. The defense hasn't been very helpful since Wade left the sideline. The past two games they have looked lost without him there. Not having their best offensive weapon aside from Foster isn't doing Yates any good either. All in all, this team has just had too many injuries and setbacks this season to point to one thing and say that fixing it would fix all the problems...like you seem to think putting a washed up QB in would.
If they win a playoff game I'll take that as gravy. If not, on to next year...because this team is going to be good.

Awesome game. Found a post from a bengals fan, it's funny and depressing at the same time.
The Bengals are hopeless. I am 44 years old. Last time they won a playoff game I was 23. A lifetime ago, when Paul Brown was still kickin. Marvin Lewis can make an average team poor, an above average team below average, and a good team average, at best. It does not matter the great draft picks next year; watch the saints, green bay, new england, pittsburgh. This coach and ownership will never compete with the best, never. Hopeless in Cincy. Oh well....more

Regardless of the outcome it has truly been a magical season. So much adversity but they overcame it and put together the most successful season in franchise history. The defense is young and with a healthy offense this team could vault itself to contender status next year.
