Lamarcus Aldridge or Pau Gasol

Who is the better player right now?

Pau Gasol. He may play like a bitch at times, but he's more skilled, a more versatile scorer, a better passer, a better rebounder, better overall defender. LMA is no slouch and Pau can be a pussy, but there's a distinct and noticeable difference in the level of overall talent in Pau's favor.

Agree with Jam. I think Aldrige is a fine player, but isn't quite as naturally talented as some people think he is. I'd say his talent level is more on par with Chris Bosh, which is nice, but I dont see him having the talent level of a top 10 player. Pau has the talent level of a top 10 player, but he lacks the mentality.

The way Aldrige faded in the series against Dallas, I don't know if he even has the mentality either. Andre Miller looked more like the leader of the Blazers than Aldrige.

Without the Lakers, Aldridge is impotent, like Rasheed Wallace was.

Aldridge was a lot better, this season, for the most part..

Gasol of the 3 prior seasons was undoubtedly a top 10 player in the NBA, but for some reason, has taken a step back..I don't think it's mental, it looks like he's worn out or hurt..

It's really fucking simple: In the battle between the franchise player (or former franchise player) and the hired help, the franchise player always wins. Until LA becomes a franchise player, meaning the team is built around him and the offense runs through him, he's just a really good player.

Pau, even if he did shrink worse than LMA did in the 1st round.

Pau is the better player. Like Pau, LMA needs to be a second option. Too bad B Roy is hurt and can't be the #1 option (and Oden is out for who knows how long).

pau's much better now than the grizzlies leader that he once was, he's improved alot since he joined the lakers and has definitely established himself as a top10 in NBA, however no one is gonna outshine kobe in LA imho (even shaq da nigga couldn't). aldridge on the other hand is nowhere close to the elite level but he's still young and has enormous potential, nigga WILL be a top10 maybe but not at this point of time imho

Gasol. Aldridge is a better scorer, Pau is better at everything else.
