Pippen certainly saved MJ's life & career.

It is somewhat an unfair one sided relationship. MJ gets alot of credit for the player Pippen turned into (facing off daily in practice) but no one ever wonders how MJ improved

Most of those would be whistled for ticky tack fouls today, depending on the bookie.

Who have you been talking to? Everyone I know understands Pippen completed the Bulls. I thought that was an axiom.

Let me put it this way. MJ is one of the greatest player of all time while some question if Pippen is Top 40.

Top 40 is nothing to scoff at. You take a two in the top 50, you got something.

Nice thread. It's a damn shame Pippen doesn't get the credit he rightfully deserves playing in MJ's massive shadow. Without him, MJ is ringlessPERIOD.

Couple of thoughts on Pippen:

Greatest defensive SF in NBA history - bar none
Arguably the greatest SF in NBA history
One of the most versatile players in NBA history
Too bad the Lakers didn't get him with PJ in 2000 like PJ wanted. Dr. Buss said his price tag was too high (Imagine Shaq/Kobe/Pippen led Lakers team :wow)

Pippen was the man.

Yep, without Pippen it'd be:::

Kobe: 5

Duncan: 4

PERIOD

Do you take Pippen over Dr.J? Probably not but I do give him the edge over Baylor

Son, I would take Pippen over any SF in NBA history. I loved Worthy, but he only played offense. Baylor and Bird too. Pippen would shut your man down, and give you a stat line of 20/7/7/3. Pippen is underratedPERIOD.

I guess I can't really say because I didn't see Bird/Erving in their prime. LeBron will end up ranked higher by the casual fan, too

Prime Pippen v. LBJ would be must see TV. In a playoff matchup, give me Pippen over LBJ 24/7. Pippen was dominant defensively and pretty good offensively. LBJ was just the opposite.
