He was the only one with enough balls to take Barea's little ass down. Too bad he did it way late, in WWE style, and his teammate took friendly fire in the process.

take him down? I didnt see barea hit the floor. That was a half ass attempt at a clothesline.

:lmao Artest hitting Odom in the balls.
What a weak ass attempt at a clothesline. We all knew Artest was just a big, loud pussy. First he runs into the Palace stands and attacks the skinniest, weak fan in the area and now he tries (and fails) to deliver a strong message to Barea and only ends up poking him in the face? :lmao :lmao
Pathetic

What's even more bizarre is the play before that when Marion got the ball on a break and slowly made his way to the rim with time running out, he gets fouled by Artest. When seeing Marion go up, I thought that the most ideal time for Ron to lay out a hard foul. The guy was in the act of shooting, you plant him sternly to the floor, probably get a FL 1, maybe a 2, but highly doubtful you get suspended.
So, why hold back against Marion and clothesline Barea a few seconds later?

Well deserved for that piece of trash. :tu Now this leaves the Lakers with NO bench now that Odom will probably be starting. "The Killer B's" absolutely suck....

Don't think so. Artest did a good job on the boards. He was a huge reason why the lakers got so many offensive rebounds.

...including 3pt bricks that lead to countless run outs for the Mavs. And we are going to miss his lockdown defense <sarcasm>
Laker fans (myself included) have been wanting Barnes to start for a while now. Here is Barnes' chance. Only other negative I see is PJ will dust off good ole Luke. Come to think of it, Luke just might start. :bang
Silver Lining: Kobe will get some burn at SF (the position he will begin playing full time in the near future). He's been successful at SF for the Lakers before. :)

1. Make the playoffs.
2. Win the last game you play.

Either Barnes can be a dumbass and leave Peja open and get his ass busted for 3, or he can play up on Peja, and be completely useless to the team, because he won't be able to do anything else. Pretty much 4-on-5. Lakers = f:lolcked

Sad, but, true. Once he started the season all afire, the league made the adjustments. His failure was in not having a readjustment at hand. Ipso facto, he's been trying to fit a square peg in a round hole ever since.

He'll let you down, trust me on this. You guys say the Lakers "cheated" in 2002? I say they won. Kings choked - especially Peja (http://www.nba.com/games/20020602/LALSAC/boxscore.html). Peja shot 3/12 (0/6 from 3) in that game 7 in 25 minutes of play. He shrunk on the big stage. His nuts hasn't descended since then otherwise NOH wouldn't have shit canned his ass. He's a front runner. Always has been, always will.
I'll say this though. You guys BETTER win game 3.

Another fool who advocates hitting people in the head as a path to winning. Yeah that's good, got himself suspended. That'll help the team.
I mean, just think about the fairness aspect. Little dude is dribbling along trying to play ball with no expectation of someone taking a swing at his head. ANYONE could smack him at that point even me. He's defenseless. If you're a tough guy you beat someone when he's ready for it. Sucker punching is not a tough guy move.

Jackson has options. Odom, the NBA’s Sixth Man Award winner and a friend of Artest’s since childhood, is available, as are Matt Barnes and veteran forward Luke Walton, who has not played a second during these playoffs.
“I think about him every day,” Jackson said when asked specifically about Walton.
:lol :lol
Walton getting minutes (and love). Good job Artest.

I want Cobbler to come back in here and tell me why PJ keeps holding back. Is it part of the Lakers' championship plan to coast their way to getting swept by the Mavs?

Both Artest and Barnes have short fuses, but Artest is going to be greatly missed.
He's a presence like Rodman was, but not as good as Rodman. Like how he got under
Dirk's skin in game 1. He makes a difference in intangibles.
