lol @ "appears to be a bloody wound"
Chubby teen beat her mom up in a parking lot after getting kicked out of class for being drunk, attempts to evade a crime scene, and gets pushed into a wall after she refuses to stop...and they want to criticize the cop? Ughhhhhhh
I was just joking about deciding if it was brutality or justice, that little twat had it coming. Obviously.

She was running like a bat out of hell. It's amazing that the officer was able to catch her.

Granted she had it coming, however, that dude just pulled a Romanowski on her ass and went a bit overboard with the push I think. I would have just used the taser...

Another example of the type of individual who would own a pit-bull…
Never made the football team, was too dumb for speech & debate, low self esteem, so now as an adult he beats ups teenage girls to get his jollies….

How the fuck anyone can think that is justifiable force is beyond me... I don't care if the little bitch was a complete douche, that dude practically tackled her. No, the cop was way over the fucking top.

Totally uncalled for and probably unjustifiable force IMO.
The officer should have first tried a verbal command, followed by soft arm tactics and if she then fought or assaulted the officer--then he could have used reasonable force.
This was not reasonable force because she did not even have the opportunity to comply or resist.

I am shock by this, what happen to shoot first and ask questions later? They are getting soft in this day and age.

Yeah she maybe deserves it and I bet she is a dumb bitch, but for the cop reacting like this, maybe a bit unnecessary?
Then again, we don't know what exactly happened.

Thats nothing to what some other cops have done. Still too much, there's ways he could of gone about it. Like they say, you can't get your personal emotions involved or you might get yourself in trouble. looks like what happened there. We still dont know all the facts. She looks to have something in her right hand so....

C'mon errrbody, the situation was very clear when the officer arrived. A girl at an alternative school allegedly assaulted a teacher AND was captured on film assaulting her mother, then she (possibly still inebriated) attempts to walk away from the scene when it's obvious the police officers were trying to get her attention, then she appears to have some kind of object in her hand and when the cop sees it he rushes at her. It wasn't a stable situation and the cop saw the need to react in a forceful manner. But her head didn't even hit the wall when she was knocked back, so no injuries from the impact push.
Don't get me wrong, I hate pigs, but I fail to see anything about it that looks like "brutality" or abuse. She didn't even get knocked out or lose consciousness (she naturally only uses half a brain, no big loss). Here's the full, un-edited clip...

I think it looks worse than it really was.
It is possible that the cop was expecting her to resist after the way she treated her mother. Then the girl being drunk only magnified the way the push looked. I am pretty sure that the cop intended to not hurt her. He even looks surprised and almost trips on himself at how easily she fell.

I said it before---I call `em like I see em---
and in THIS case...the officer was plain wrong and overaggressive.
There was so many things that the officer could have done or tried to do BEFORE he used physical force....especially with a MINOR!
Remember the officers are not judges and they should have first tried to interview the suspect to assess the situation---before doing what they did. If the kid was such a threat---why didn't the other officer give chase too? She wasn't. This is why only one officer gave chase and decided he would teach this kid a lesson himself. When the police start thinking that way...it is time to take a hiatus or seek a new career.
Int Affairs for that department will go after that officer IMO and probably take some action---that was unjustifiable and it finally bit that prick young cop in the ass when that video was released.
He will be looking for work soon.
eh, verbal commands were issued. what is not known is this girls criminal record. being that shes in a school for "troubled youths" she most likely has one. what is on it? do we know that? in order for someone to say the amount of force was justified or unjustified one must know the whole situatoin and everything about the subject or suspect involved. obviously she has no problem assaulting someone considering she just assaulted her mother on film. not enough is known to pass judgement.
Oh, Gee!!

This may be wild speculation on my part, but I'm pretty sure he could have placed her under arrest with little to no force applied

Yeah, he completely blindsided her. :lol
As funny as that was to watch, it seemed pretty unnecessary.

I think the use of the word "kid," "child," and "minor" are part of my reason for being so against protecting the little runt's actions. Sure, legally she is those things, but we all know that in the real world most troubled teens aren't acting likes kids, children, or minors. They think they're big shit? They think they can do whatever they want in public view and get away with it? Well, they can't, and if they are treated in a way that "adults" in the same situation are treated...so be it.
This happened a few months back tho, and no charges filed so I'm hoping IA doesn't feel pressure to come down on the officer because the public is so "shocked" and "outraged" over a punk kid getting pushed over.

She attacked someone and then attempted to flee the scene when confronted by the police. The officer gave her an impact blow and arrested her. A job well done.
They should show this video every morning in that school. Loop it over and over again.

I agree not enough is known to pass judgement. But that cop arrived approx. 6 seconds before he pushed the kid down......it's amazing that he somehow had all those questions answered and all the info he needed to pass judgement about how she deserved to be treated, in such a short time period.
Had it been a guy, no one would care. Fuck her. She needs to know that authority isn't always a timeout. She could have had a gun. He has to assume she does.

she could have been a known problem and had dealings with the police before. we do not knw that. they very well could have ran her through NCIC to do quick criminal check before arriving on scene if the caller had that info (name, DOB, DL/ID#) already available. also a police officer being on scene in and of itself is considered use of force. telling someone to stop again is considered use of force. so a person could say she escalated the situation on her own by trying to flee the scene.... again not enough is known to pass judgement on either individual involved. thats what the investigation is for. i do find it strange they didnt say anything about him being suspended...
