They do seem kind of cheap and cheesy, especially during the playoffs for some reason......NBA TV's by far the worst though imo. NBC was the best :depressed.

Back on. Smith at some point has to realize that 20 & 10 doesn't have to signify 20 points and 10 boards....it can also mean 20 boards and 10 blocks and getting the offense when the ball rolls yourr way.

Bailout call, Zaza had nowhere to go. Looked like good, clean defense/bodying by Asik.

Rose needs to stop shooting the 3 altogether if the Bulls make it to the ECF if he's serious about getting to the finals. For him to mean what he does to the team offensively, he probably takes the worst shots out of anyone on the roster. He needs to no his limits and play to his strengths to take them over the top imo.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 06:43 PM
Teague's got to take that shot.

NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 06:45 PM
Smart decision by Williams. Chicago really pressuring the Hawks forcing them to go into their sets quicker than they like to.....usually Atlanta milks the clock and right now their offense seems to be throw off as a result.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 06:47 PM
Didn't see a foul there but meh. Nick Van Exel on your coaching staff does not inspire better shot selection by your guards btw, lol, but dude could go off at times.

I'd keep Rose on the bench until the lead shrunk down to about 5 or so. I know you want to keep the ankle warm IF it is messed up still, but better to preserve the energy while the Hawks look stagnate, confused and disinterested until they're ready to make a game of it.

Josh Smith sucks

Problem is, dude thinks he's a premier scorer in waiting when he needs to focus on the other aspects his length/athleticism afford him and stop being a ball-stopper igniting the other team's offense on long jumpers. College may or may not have fixed that, depending on how much he was able to dominate with raw ability alone. Once someone gets in his ear and tells him to be more like a Rodman type and stop killing the offense he'll be more productive imo.

Nice ball movement by ATL, better rotation by CHI.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 07:09 PM
Atlanta needs to make this more of a transition game to take advantage of their athleticism and to get away from the iso ball which Chicago has locked on to finally.

In Game 2 Atlanta was sending 2 guys at Korver coming off of the screen which allowed the big setting the screen to roll to the basket. I'd rather give up the 2 and hope someone can rotate to the basket to contest the layup than give Korver and open 3....saw what he can do to a team's morale when he gets a rhythm.

05-06-2011, 07:36 PM
Smith's transition offense/handles and decision-making is actually stronger than it is in the halfcourt. Doesn't have to think as much and reacts more to what the defense gives him, although I'd still prefer to have one of the other wings pushing it. Overall, Atlanta needs to speed up the tempo imo to spread Chicago thin on defense rather than allowing them to trap, etc.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 07:38 PM
Nice defense by Teague on Rose. Barely giving him any room to work.

The loudest they've been is when they've boo'ed/cheered Josh Smith. Effort definitely looks suspect, but the Bulls defense is locking down on the halfcourt iso stuff Atlanta like to run.

Smith still doesn't realize that Chicago is giving him that wide open jumper....he's got to force the issue imo or swing the ball around for a better shot even if it menas going deeper into the shotclock.

Teague is the only one who looks like he's going all out. Idk what this teams problem is. Do they not realize it's win or go home? Or maybe they don't mind going home...
PS- The Iso bullshit is hard on the eyes.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 08:00 PM
Atlanta seemed to be moving the ball better in Chicago and doing less iso, easpecially early on. Seems like they've almost given up on that in hopes that just coming back home alone would mean better shots/offense regardless.

The offensive rebounding for the Bulls has doomed us.
NewJerSpur
05-06-2011, 08:08 PM
Damien Wilkins going Gerald Wilkins. If the Bulls are going to double as hard as they have the Hawks have to move the ball to get the easiest shot possible more often rather than settling for one pass (if that) and a quick jackup.
