After this series, would y'all rather lose your trump card that "Dallas has no rings" or rather see a team like the Heat or Celtics get a few more?

just curious.

They still need 3 more.

1 wouldn't hurt.

Quite far if you consider how hard it is to win a ship'.

Never used the gay-ass 4 rings, faggot shit because the Celtics, the face of the NBA, have 17 rings in only 21 Finals and so, they are the only ones who could actually pull that shit.

Dirk, and Dallas moreover, deserves a ring.

1. Chicago
2. OKC
3. Boston

That's my preference right there in order......though I will say, this is the rare year (though later on it would probably bother me a bit) where I wouldn't mind guys like JET & Cuban having hardware to flash as much. ANYTHING but "The Decision" having a pay off, though i've got no problems with Wade or Anthony.

Well honestly, I would have liked this series to be a little closer. And after the spurs go into off season mode, I just watch the playoffs and hope for the more balanced Finals series. Last years Celtics and Lakers series was a good series to watch despite my disliking for players on both sides.

Don't care. Dallas can win 3 in a row. Tired of seeing Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson. The whole MJ comparison is ridiculous to say the least and it needs to stop for the sake of the children.

Since the Spurs window is shut I don't care a lot about who wins it all. Don't get me wrong; I'll be watching every game not involving Atlanta, but the closest I'll get to rooting for a particular team is wanting to see a good upset.

It's an obligation to hate the Mavericks, over the words that escaped Mark Cuban's cock-smoking mouth, and Jason Terry's disgusting abundance of arrogance.

But I'd rather them win over the Lakers, I'm so sickened with the consistent dick-riding that the ESPN commentators do, it would be okay if it sounded like they'd prefer the Lakers to win, but they literally sound like devoted little fan-girls watching a role played fight at a Naruto convention. Constant excuses, and they even sound crushed when they're certain the Lakers have lost the game.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas win it all, but only if they promise to beat the shit out of Jason fucking Terry with the Larry O'.

If Dallas beats LA, then I will most likely jump ship and root for the Heat to meet and beat them in the Finals.

I know... I am a sick bastard.

If the Mavs move on, I'll go right back to hating them honestly. I just wanted L.A. out. And for some reason I can't stand Chicago, so go Thunder, Grizzlies, Celtics, or Heat......

dav4463
05-07-2011, 02:42 AM
I'm watching hockey, baseball, and betting the horses, but if I have to pick somebody I will root for the Heat.

That way, we can throw this season out and say so what? The NBA's All-Collusion team was supposed to win anyway. They got the biggest and best guys to all join the same team so they could win. What did they prove?

Any team could get lucky enough to be handpicked by three of the biggest stars in the game....they can't help but win.

One thing that's pretty cool about Spurs fans is that they've been way ahead of the curve on giving Dirk his due(and acknowledging he's a pretty awesome dude). It's a bit surreal to see the national media and NBA fans give Dirk so much praise now even though he's doing what he's always done.

dav4463
05-07-2011, 02:47 AM
Dirk is and always has been awesome. He is the player I am most scared of when the Spurs play against him, but the arrogance of Mark Cuban trumps all that. I do not want the Mavs to win a title as long as he is the owner.

2. Mavs

6. Thunder
7. Bulls
8. Lakers

Thats my preference tbh.. im a big LeBron fan and also like D-Wade so thats the reason ill be pulling for the Heat.. plus it will be nice to see all the LeBron haters shut the fuck up for at least an offseason (Lol Woj). Cant really stand the Thunder (Durant and Westbrook) or the Bulls (Noah and Boozer and Rose is already extremely over rated). Obviously Lakers are last on anybodies list.

Dallas - want dirk to win one, he's a good guy, turtle not so much
Heat - media hype would make me vomit
Boston - ehh, Shaq gets more rings than timmy, me no like

I'd like Chicago to win it all tbh

Really so wanting a team to win over another makes you a fan? It's picking the lesser of two evils, that is all.

So what are laker fans going to be after they're eliminated? L.A. Grizzlies? L.A. Bulls?

Bill_Brasky
05-07-2011, 11:01 AM
lol "San Antonio bandwagon" posts. Just because your team loses doesn't mean you're no longer allowed to watch basketball and choose a team you like in each series.

I want Mavs/Grizz tbh, think it would be a great series. Though I find myself liking the Thunder, Bulls, and Heat when I watch their games.

He's not condemning the Spurs fan base. He knows LA "fans" root for other teams* as well, especially anyone who is playing the Spurs.

*rooting for other teams is a requirement to be an LA fan, other fan-bases do it out of spite.

this is even true for new LA Fans - its probably 90% of any new bb fan picks the lakers over another team, especially if they live outside the US. It's like the manchester united of EPL soccer or the Barcelona of La Liga

that's the reason the majority of them don't know shit about bb

Though I wouldn't be that bummed about saying "Dirk Nowitzki, NBA Champion".

Spurs beat the Mavs last time they played in the playoffs, so we will always have that. It doesn't matter because I will bet any Mav fan $500 that the Mavs don't ring.

Leetonidas

Mavs getting 1 ring is no danger to the Spurs franchise. The only people who really use that 4>0 rings talk are on the same level as dumbass Lakerfans who claim they have 16 world championships to try and put them up there with the Celtics as the #1 franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing Nowitzki ring. Out of all the dude in the NBA, besides Tim, he's been the most loyal superstar and he's always been humble and never been a dick. He's like a white, jumpshooting version of Tim Duncan.

Why?

See, this is the problem with this board. Fans with this superiority complex thinking if their team won a title then all is forgiven. The Celtics have 17 titles and Cubby is constantly referring to Bynum putting Perkins in the hospital. The Lakers have 16 titles but people still remember Bean's 3 year span of irrelevancy and 1st round exits. The Bulls have 6 titles but people still remember MJ being a dirty gambler who got his father killed. Spurs have 4 titles and Lakerfan is constantly bringing up old shit from 2008, hell I've seen these faggots try to bring up the 1995 playoffs as some type of shit talk. :lmao

Point is, ringing doesn't erase your past failures, it just eases them.
