tbh I'd rather face OKC. I know we had their number this season even beating them without Dirk one time.

Memphis would be a legitimate struggle IMO

I'd prefer Memphis

Memphis would be better for the Mavs. Randolph guarding Dirk or Tyson :lol Mavs in 6

If Dallas had a healthy Butler i'd take them in 6 over OKC too, but that series could go either way tbh.

memphis, and it's not even close...

thing with Memphis is that Randolph/Marc aren't gonna lay down like Pau has this series and they're really gonna have to make Dirk work on defense.

Greg Oden
05-07-2011, 08:24 AM
they might not lay down like Pau has, but they still don't have a shot of containing Dirk. And the Mavs wouldn't have to worry about Durant going crazy.

There's nobody in the league that can stop Dirk at this point. The Lakers had a lineup that was very favorable in atleast containing him, along with the greatest coach of all time, and they're making him look like Jordan.

You gotta make him work on the other end to atleast try and wear him out

memphis ain't winning the series against Thunder imo. Thunder will qualify & fight the mavs (which is most likely) in the WCF imho, and they mavs will hold a better odd of winning since they're more experienced & in superb form. The question remains though, which team would u niggas prefer to take in the NBA finals, the Bulls or da Miami Heat?

Axe Murderer

Bulls without a doubt

if i could choose between memphis & OKC i'd definitely pick memphis in a heartbeat. dallas swept the grizzlies in 05' 1st round series, at least we'd hold some mental advantage if we take em on. OKC play too quick which would be more than likely to kill dallas like da 08' series against hornets imho.

You want Memphis. You're a terrible matchup for them.

I don't see them getting past OKC though. They looked pretty shitty in game 2. The problem with having a guy like Randolph is that if you put somebody like Ibaka on him, he turns into a jumpshooter, and if he's not making those jumpshots, it's game ova.

Plus Perkins is a good matchup on Gasol, they're both big and slow.

One thing is for sure, whoever the Mavs play in the WCF will put up more of a fight than the Lakers.

imo Dallas is a match up problem for the Grizz, that nigga Randolph would get merked by Dirk Diggler. With the Thunder they have to stop Westbrook and Durant with itself is a problem.

I think the Lakers would rather play the Grizzlies. Now our best fishing resort will be a tough one to choose. :depressed

I don't think anyone's planning any parades. But this thing is pretty much over. I don't think the Mavs have that great a shot to win the title tbh, but looking on into the next round isn't that much of a stretch when a team is up 3-0.

Mavs should beat either, but they would be much better off against Memphis IMO..

Randolph would have to play D, for the first time in the playoffs..Chandler has a much better chance of stopping Randolph, than any Grizzlies player has of stopping Dirk..

Memphis isn't going to win their series anyways, tbh..

Nope. The Mavs are the exception to the rule. They'll make anything that looks impossible become reality.

No team has ever blown a 3-0 lead in an NBA playoff series. Ever.

So to say the least the percentages are in your favor.

.... why would Randolph be guarding Dirk? They have Battier.... I don't think Memphis' game plan would be to stop Dirk anyways.

Memphis is structured like a legit contender. OKC would be a better matchup for DAL

tbh I don't care if this comes back to bite me in the ass. If by some crazy occurence the Lakers do make history i'll eat that shit sandwich.

There's no such thing as jinxes, Laker fans are the kings of premature celebrations and they have 16 titles

Grizzlies will knock out the Thunder. And I hate to say itt but those niggas look primed to make the Finals...theyre young, athletic, and tenacious on D. They have GS's aggressiveness+more discipline and interior presences. Theyre hungry I dont see anyone in the West stopping them tbh.

i never mentioned the word "jinxes". and the lakers have those titles because they don't collapse like the mavericks.

I hope Im wrong, Dirk Diggler deserves a ring. But watch those niggas play...theyre the most active defensive team in the league. That type of defense hasnt boded well for Dirk and the Mavs in the past. Theyre also extremely active on the boards, Chandler can only do so much. These niggas have been eating up better defensive frontlines on the offensive glass.

exactly. I don't understand the fun in having a complete lack of faith, no matter what happens, and expecting your team to choke every series. Teams that are up 3-0 are 98-0 all time. Whatever happened to enjoying some success? We have a 3-0 lead on the defending champions for fucksake.
