View Full Version : If I were Tim, I'd demand a trade to the Heat

go for that 5th ring next year. they need an inside presence, and Tim could take on the role that DRob did in his last years.

Tim, listen to me man, you got the money, now you need that 5th ring. take a pay cut and go to Miami.

Dwade, Lebron, Bosh, Duncan

and someone at PG

that would be a helluva team. i'd like to see that.

Nope. If he did, he'd hold Pop to accounts. But, they love each & are having oodles of that thing that Phoenix calls: fun.

TBH, I would not mind that one bit. I would be a huge Heatfan as long as Timmy was on the team. He would be chasing but I guarantee he would look better than Bosh out there once you factor in defense, leadership, etc.

That being said it won't happen.

Or Timmy could take a paycut to stay in SA for a couple more years and work on bringing role players in. If he wants to win he can still do it in San Antonio.

But you're not Tim, thank goodness. No need for Tim to chase another ring, just like what Mr. Anderson wrote about Tim Duncan.

i wouldn't be mad whatever he choses to do neither but him joining another team just to get a ring would look bad on him.. it'd be more understandable if he never won a ring here the whole time.. but he's won 4.. why would he ditch a franchise he has been the face of, towards the end of his career just to win a 5th one.. only logical reason is if someone within the organization pissed him off..

Garnett never won a ring in Minny. He is regarded as the biggest douche in the league though.

Tim's been good to San Antonio, but San Antonio's been good to Tim. He's the greatest power forward of all time and he'll retire a San Antonio Spur. Shaq and Emmitt Smith left their original teams in the twilight of their careers in each respective sport and it only tarnished their legacy.

true.. forgot to emphasize tho that it'd be understandable if he hadn't won a ring the entire time he's been with that franchise..

kg would be an ass for ditching minny after 4 chips..

tim will win a ring every single year if he joins the heat. so if he plays 3 more years, he can win three more rings. 7 rings looks better than 4. if he wants to do it, he should but i doubt he would.

He hasn't the gumption. He's satisfied to draw his time as his s-bag slowly fills. His time to hold Pop to accounts has come & it has passed. He's just an old graveyard ghost now.

Emmitt's legacy isn't tarnished. He's still as popular as he was when he left Dallas.

If Tim just took the role of D-Rob HERE!!!!! he could still win a ring. 2, 7'ers in the lane, another length guy coming off the bench, surrounded by shooters and 1 defensive specialist. This is what works.

Tim will enjoy more in LA with the Clippers and he will have a chance for a ring, would play next to great franchise player in Griffin and will be his D-Rob, Manu will come with him cause he also deserved this opportunity.
two options for the trade:
1. TD and Manu for Chris Kaman, Eric Gordon and Al-Farouq Aminu.
2. TD and Manu for Eric Gordon and DeAndre Jordan(S&T)

you guys need to stop looking at this in a sententious way, playing for another team will not hurt any legacy, it will be far more sad to see those two great competitors ending the carrer playing their last years for nothing!!

Even with Duncan & Manu the clippers would have too many holes to fill to contend for anything but an 8th seed and even that's a stretch. And that's if everything goes according to plan (no injuries).

that nuts!!
at this point of their carrers playing next to a real superstar and franchise player will upgrade TD and Manu games, that what necessary for them to sucseed right now!

and even before others moves that could be may, you say to me that such a team is not contender?
Maurice Williams/Eric Bledsoe
Manu Ginobili/Randy Foye/Willie Warren
Ryan Gomes/Al-Farouq Aminu/Jamario Moon
Blake Griffin/Ike Diogu/Craig Smith
