It's been buried in the news but a CBS radio news affiliate's talk radio host in I think it was New York got canned for calling on Rather to be investigated for breach of journalistic integrity.
I don't get it. Usually Dan and Co. are bitching about conspiracies and how the right of free speech is a decaying one in our society.
But a guy questions a Bush hater, gets canned for it, and there's no outrage. Imagine that.

Why, it's an infringement on his constitutional rights.
It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous!

How many times have you NeoCons reminded us that free speech doesn't apply in the corporate world? Companies are free to hire and fire at will. This is a CBS internal matter.

Looks like this guy, Maloney, was canceled not because of his comments about Dan Rather, but because his Sunday afternoon time slot was going to be occupied with Seattle Seahawk football broadcast...
KIRO station manager Ken Berry said Maloney’s termination was more of a scheduling move based not on Maloney’s comments, but because the station’s broadcast of Seattle Seahawks football games limited Sunday afternoon times slots for talk-show hosts.
"This is nothing but a disgruntled part-time employee who lost his Sunday time slot due to program scheduling that had nothing to do with comments about Dan Rather or CBS," Berry said.
