Hard to decide when you break it down...

Spurs: second team to lose as the first seed in the first round with a 7 game series. That fact definitely emphasizes the amount of fail involved, but in hindsight it shouldn't be too big of a shock. The Spurs were vulnerable inside and relied heavily on outside shooting, an approach that is destined to fail in the playoffs. Currently, the Grizzlies might have the most dominant frontcourt (offensively) and also a top notch perimeter defender in Tony Allen. It shouldn't really be a surprise to think the Grizzlies can beat the Spurs in 7 games, but you can't ignore the seeding.

Lakers: They looked asleep all season with only Kobe showing a desire to play well. After the all-star break they looked like their old selves again and, like the Spurs, had an atrocious losing streak at the end of the season to kill that momentum. They seemed uninterested in the Hornets and Kobe was back to shooting 30 attempts a game with a shitty percentage. In a nutshell, we were all anticipating a switch to be flipped when they got to the Mavs and ended up getting absolutely humiliated in four games.
