:lol There's no point of watching the NBA for the next 3-4 years, tbh, barring a lockout..
Miami is on pace to win a title, with an extremely flawed team, fueled by 2 players, with an occasional appearance from Bosh and the role players..I can only imagine when Haslem/Miller get healthy, they use the MLE, and they replace Spo(potentially, but doubtful, unfortunately)..

I know he cant do THAT every game...but I think it's more likely we see Lebron play like that, than Wade duplicating his Finals run vs. Mavs ...but we shall see. Wade is clutch ...

havent looked at in months ... if Lebron brings it home or dirk why not make it a thread about them?
Hate him, loathe him, love him or tolerate him ... (i have done all 4) Kobe is the most polarizing and debateable NBA star. Lebron may have some haters but not like Kobe does ...and even his supporters (well maybe the old Cavs) dont defend Lebron, the way Kobefanbois defend Kobe's honor like someone is talking abbout their mother. Like Jam, i consider myself a kobe "apologist" because he gets unfair hate (fair ones too) so I sling the same shit back on other star players ... he is not even my favorite Laker.
PErsonallty Magic is my only basketball "hero" because I was a child when he was at teh apex of the sport ...

As a player he is UNTOUCHABLE ...
As a commentator, he makes me cringe, but I let is slide cuz he is Magic.
As a business man, and motivational guy and community builder he is all gold. But dude can barely go a sound bite without flubbing. In the studio he is OK ...I guess. When he did the NBC games he blew chunks ...TBH.

Lebron has a chance to cement his legacy, if he has some big games in the finals.

LeBron lost the game on the travel the refs missed......but after they didn't make that call he made some solid plays. Celts botched that last possession in regulation with KG and Allen running into each other.

Yes.
And Lebron was the guy who hit the big 3 to tie the game and the layup to take the lead in the last 2 minutes of the regulation.
The big3 were clutch
Boston took an 84-81 lead with 2:28 left after back-to-back 3-pointers by Delonte West(notes) and Allen, but James hit a 3 to tie it and then made a left-handed lay-in with 48 seconds to play to give Miami an 86-84 lead

His legacy as an alpha dog, a franchise player, is shot. He did that to himself.
He can still build a nice legacy as a complementary guy, though. Pippen, McHale, etc.

Yeah, all those "complimentary" players in NBA history that average 27/7.5/7 over their careers and go off for 35 and 14 against a former (nearly as-constructed) NBA champion.

Plus he's black. That has to be a problem. Wonder what he's doing about that?
Isn't there a difference between HIV and AIDS? Yeah...
You haven't taken the critical thinking class yet I guess.

Throw out all the numbers you want. He flat-out conceded he can't do it as the number-one guy. I didn't- he did.
Nothing wrong with being Pippen or McHale. Those were great players. Most guys would love to be in that category.

It's all fan conjecture. You have no idea what Lebron's legacy will be. He might carry that team to 6 rings (doubt it) and might be the franchise in the process.
He doesn't have to use Jordan's recipe to become a legend.

This (unfortunately) is right. Miami is the favorite (and my bet at this point) to win it all this year even with all the ups and downs they've had this year and holes in their roster. Wade's age is a concern but he's crafty enough to stay good into his 30s (plus he started in the NBA late so he doesn't have the mileage of a typical 29 year old). As much as I hate to admit it, Bosh has improved drastically this season and is finding his spots in the offense much better. Lebron meanwhile, might hate being the villain, but it's given him the desire to win he didn't have when everyone loved him.
Next year, if Miller being healthy brings back his confidence shooting, if Haslem can just be the player he was before his injury, if Chalmers can start playing well enough to get consistent minutes, and if Anthony develops something where he's not such a giant liability on offense that's a ton of improvement just off who's already on their roster, and when they sign a center (most likely SamDam) with their MLE, they likely can push 70 wins and probably wreck the playoffs.

All truth... Just hope that the new CBA still includes MLE...

It will. There will be little to no change in the CBA when it's all said and done outside of changing the 1 year college rule to a 2 year/20 years old rule. I'd be shocked if the young butthurt owners like Sarver and Gilbert get any of the major changes they want.

Well, he didn't exactly play terrible, but he definitely was no big help when his team needed him most either. So yes, he failed to deliver, especially for a guy that good.
It will probably take winning a few championships for James to erase these finals.

Hopefully moving forward the NBA continues to CORRECTLY officiate LeBron on offense and stop turning the other way when he commits fouls/TO's. I know it's a lot to ask, but stop bailing him out!! That is all.
