So, with only Parker as a real asset (because Dick and Bonner have negative value) we are able to to get Bynum, Odom and Nelson ?

DO IT RC :lmao

Spurs get legit height.

Lakers get Howard.

Magic get Parker and Gasol.

Walton gets Dick.

Everyone's happy.

Why would I propose a trade that improves the Lakers?

But that hypothetical trade doesn't work for Orlando? They're more than likely going to lose Howard. Getting Gasol and Parker is a really good duo to get back.

This is exactly why LA won't get Howard.

Orlando may get desperate, but there are 28 other teams who could also put together a package for one of the leagues premiere big men that AREN'T the gottamn Lakers.

So Orlando gets an old Gasol who disappeared in the playoffs and a point guard who is in decline and whose only real weapon (his quickness) has already deteriorated to the point of making him quite average.

Personally, I like it. But the only thing that keeps it as unlikely as a Bonner for Nene trade is that you took the time to make the salaries work out.

Are you sure the Spurs are getting enough back? Better get Kobe too, just to be safe.

Because in order for there to be a trade, this needs to be a condition. Think about it.

orlando will never trade howard to the lakers. they still remember shaq's betrayal and will trade howard to any team but the lakers. only way this happens is if howard does a sign and trade after he becomes a FA.

Spurs should trade McDyess for Blake Griffin

Salaries match !!!

trade actually makes sense for the spurs and magic. does not make any sense for the lakers. why would they take on the toxic contracts of arenas and jefferson when they can just pick up howard for free in the free agency in 2012?

Nah, the Lakers are more into THESE (http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3pn8kay) kind of trades.
