lol Kobe on 1st team ... sons he will be 39 years old putting up 14PPG shooting 37% and the NBA will still give him all of these bogus honors.

Also agree Durant had Dirk's spot but Dirk got hurt to be fair, so it;s not as big a crime as some make it to be ...same with Wade. Both missed some time. Dirk was an early MVP front-runner before he got hurt.

I know some will say this is biased because he torched us, and I admit Im no stats guy but Dirk shooting over 50% this year was one of the MOST impressive shooting displays I have ever seen. Over Bird, Ray reggie etc. I tell you why Dirk's jumpers are primarily 1 on 1 or off pick n roll or a down screen. He is not running around illegal picks like Ray ...and most of his shots are elbow or mid post jumpers shooting with a hand in his face. Best shooting season I ever saw. I live in DFW right now, so i saw at least parts of 50 Mavs games. The guys is amazing.

I agree that Kobe being on the 1st team is a joke. Not saying he was pretty bad, but for sure not 1st team caliber this year.

Dirk has the better record, way better shooting-%....

So Durant is 1st because he plays more minutes and jacks up more shots?

Whenever I feel like searching for it, I'll have to bump one of the several threads where I was told Bosh would make an all NBA team and Amare wouldn't now that Bosh was on a better team than Amare.

KD over Dirk is an abomination.

CP3/Westbrook is debatable. I'm fine with Westbrook over CP3 but I don't think this is an obvious choice. Where Westbrook excels in scoring for himself, CP3 is arguably better in facilitating.

Kobe/Wade is debatable. I'm slightly more queasy about this prospect than the CP3/Westbrook comparison. There's a strong argument for Wade over Kobe but it's not egregious.

Rest is good.

Kobe's team was 9 points better when he left the floor, one of the worst numbers you'll ever see for a star player..

Then you could say the same for D Wade as well because their numbers are practically identical ....... the defensive end is where Wade overshadows Bryant easily.

Bryant: 25.3 ppg
Wade: 25.5 ppg

Bryant: 4.7 assists
Wade: 4.6 assists

Bryant: 5.1 rebounds
Wade: 6.3 rebounds

Bryant: 45% FG
Wade: 50% FG

Bryant: 83% FT
Wade: 76% FT

Bryant: 32.3 % 3FG
Wade: 30% 3FG

Bryant: 1.2 steals
Wade: 1.5 steals

Bryant: 0.2 blocks
Wade: 1.1 blocks

lol Kobe fans like the one above ignoring the difference between 45% shooting and 50% as if it's minimal because all they do is compare Kobe to more efficient scorers like MJ who shot 50% from the field

Cobby, with our upper echelon Lakers Brothers currently touring far off lands has stepped into the breach & has taken the mantle of Lakers Bellwether as his own. Let no heart be faint. Let every arm be steeled.

Rose is the new LeBron, one man band.

Rose=LeBron
Noah=Varejao
Boozer=Jamieson
Deng=Williams

and whoever the fuck else was on those teams. Bulls stink. Rose is a fraud. Which
doesn't diminish the MVP award, just some years a fraud wins it.

Lol

Rose recieved less votes than LBJ to make 1st team.It must be one of the first time the MVP of the season doesn't lead 1st team votes.

He was the MVP but it's clear who is the best player.

Again, Kobe's team was 9 points worse when he was on the floor..there isn't another player on the all-NBA teams that comes within 7 points of Kobe's ineptitude, in that regard..

Wade's team was 7 points better when he was on the floor..

These awards have no credibility. How else do you explain Bryant beating out the second best player in the league for 1st team honors? Also, how did Westbrook, the most overrated player in the league at the moment, beat out Paul? He only dragged one of the least talented teams in the league to respectability. And since reputation apparently is the be all, end all, why isn't Duncan, the greatest player of his generation, an all-time great and the guy who finished with the best PER on his team (which had the best record in the league for the vast majority of the season), not on the team? He happens to also play the thinnest position in the league when it comes to upper echelon talent. Funny how reputation (in addition to those facts) didn't matter in his case.

Paul was great in the playoffs but had a subpar regular season by his normal standards. It's definitely not unreasonable for someone to say Westbrook had a better regular season than Paul did.

Tim Duncan was not an all-NBA player this year. The players chosen ahead of him were better.
