Dirk. For now anyway.

right now, its definitely Dirk. not even a question.

50% of Durants points come off of his stupid swing-through fake shot where a guy has his arm extended.

durant will be dirk-level good, but not for a couple of years yet

Can't even win the international vote. That's sad. Wonder what the deal is with Alaska. I guess you can pretty much count Alaska as "foreign" though. :lol

I'd say Dirk but this series has the potential to change everybody's mind.

The correct answer is Dirk, but like Kaizoku says, we might be singing a different tune in two weeks. In my mind, Dirk is just more efficient, more consistent, and can help his team with his rebounding and passing. If Durant isn't scoring efficiently, he's not helping the Thunder.

Maybe for the future, but not for this series.

Right now it's Dirk obviously.

I would guess that at the end of the day, they'll both end up in similar spots among the top 100 players ever. Hard to say since Dirk has hit his prime, and Durantula hasn't.

Dirk is averaging 8.4 rbds per game in this playoffs, that's below average for a star bigman.

Durant averages 7.7, that's above average for a star wing.

So IMO the rebound argument isn't fair.

And the "passing" and "efficient scoring" argument is bullshit too:

Dirk: 1,4 pts per shot - 2,8 assts per game

Durant: 1,4 pts per shot - 2,7 assts per game.

Neither guy is particularly good at facilating others and they are both equally efficient.

It's a tough choice but if I had to choose I'd rather have Durant at SF than Dirk at PF.

Where did you get those stats? In these playoffs:
Dirk: 38.4min, .517 FG, .600 3PT,.922 FT, 8.2 RBD, 2.9 AST, 28.5 PTS
Durant: 41.6min, .465 FG, .381 3PT, .839 FT, 7.7 RBD, 2.5 AST, 29.8 PTS

Higher FG, 3PT, FT = more efficient and Dirk does more in less minutes.

Hmm, I'm doubtful it would be much of a difference even if you count that one out because Durant didn't exactly have a bad game either.

F*** dat sh!t. I don't see Durant being the #1 guy on a championship team. Didn't see any fire in him in the crunch. No way he's better than Dirk all-time at the end of their careers.

I actually came away quite dissapointed from Durant. Given that he has taken Dirk's spot in the 1 All NBA team the last two seasons, I think the series proved that he is still wayyyyy behind Dirk's level.

Durant's scoring in the regular season really hides his deficiencies a lot, but the guy clearly needs to add a lot more to the game. Once good defenders got a hold of him, Artest last year and Marion this year, he really had no option B to his game. Much different from where Dirk is right now.

"what happened to Durant"

Just shows a lack of killer instinct and leadership on Durant's part. Maybe we should be asking "Who you got Dirk or Westrook?" in which case the answer is still Dirk. And histroically there's nothing I've seen that says that either Durant or Westbrook will reach Dirk's heights.
