I've tried finding Californias DMV income and can't.
Aren't those scam artists required to make the figure public?
40 million cars (at least, prolly double that) and the highest tax/renewal fees in the land and yet the roads here are crap.
Doesn't DMV also get a chunk of gas tax?

Public sector employees are the hardest working people in America. They deserve as much money as we can give them, plus benefits and a pension.

Since it's not likely found in an RSS feed, here's the latest figures:
http://www.ebudget.ca.gov/pdf/Revised/BudgetSummary/RevenueEstimates.pdf
162 million in the Governor's budget.

TeyshaBlue,
props for posting that. I do not believe the figures at all (directed at the site, not you!).
DMV collected funds is only 2% of what state income tax brings in? No way!
Me thinks the skimming of DMV funds is jumongous!

I noticed that there was a proposed increase to 420 million. Wonder how they did that?

Is the DMV in charge of fixing roads in CA? Maybe that's the problem.

I found an old Texas DPS budget (http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/OperatingBudgetFY2010.pdf).
It listed the following revenue totals (section IV.D.):
2008: $187,201,372
2009: $181,099,271
2010 (budget): $181,294,600

Darrin hates firefighters, police officers and especially our troops.
Why do you hate America, Darrin?
