What's the over/under with the Spurs signing this guy?
How much would he ask for?
Do the spurs have enough to sign him?
I know these questions sound a bit elementary, but I'm not very fluent in the details.
Can an expert in this area (I know some of you all exist) answer my questions?
Thanks

unless splitter can somehow talk him into coming to San Antonio for the MLE then we have no chance at him.

Too bad... I'd say with a frontline of Duncan/Nene/Leonard we'd pretty much be a lock for the NBA finals... NOBODY would ever grab a rebound or be able to score in the interior...
That's a pretty sick pipe-dream..
Too bad.

Nuggets will resign Nene.
The Spurs have zero chance of getting this guy.

Not going to be able to sign him, as he'll ask/be offered more than what the Spurs can offer, which'll depend on what the the CBA is like in terms of exceptions. Even if it's as generous as the current one with the MLE(which seems doubtful), he should be able to get well over that either from Denver or from a team with cap space.
Only possible hope would be a sign and trade even then it would probably require a third team wanting Jefferson and us having to chuck in other parts(1st round picks etc.)

His wife is an American from Denver =/. Clearing up point guard issue is a step in the right direction too. Letting go of Chandler + Martin will leave Denver with plenty of money to sign Nene.

Denver Nuggets' Nene to opt out of contract, become an unrestricted free agent
Now the real work begins for the Nuggets in trying to retain their starting center.
Nene will opt out of the final year of his contract worth nearly $12 million and, as a result, become an unrestricted free agent, a source familiar with the situation said Wednesday night.
It means Nene can sign with any team he wishes without the Nuggets getting a chance to match the offer when free agency begins after the expected NBA lockout, which likely will start Friday.
Nene had until today to make a final decision.
He seems too expensive for the Spurs. Even if they were able to get him he wouldn't help much when it comes to the Spurs defensive problems and Nene can get pretty soft and pull a Richard Jefferson disappearing act every now and then as well. His connection with Tiago would be pretty good though along with his instant offense.

Would love to see him in BlacknSilver, but don't think he would be in are price range. Peter Holt will not be willing to pay for his services.
