so he's no longer an option for a back up role with the Spurs.

Not exactly a surprise. We have 5 guards who figure to be ahead of him so I doubt the Spurs would've been looking too intensely, and it makes sense for him to get money if it's on the table.

Thank god he is not an option anymore. He is terrible even for a 3rd string PG

Spurs don't have a lot of option if they want to sign a PG this offseason.

The top PG FAs (Aaron Brooks, Rodney Stuckey, Jose Barea and even Mario Chalmers) will be hard and too expensive to get. It isn't also very interesting
for Spurs to sign a 3rd string PG like Quinn because if there are some minutes available at PG because of injuries, they should be used to develop Cory Joseph.

It remains players like TJ Ford, Mike Bibby, Earl Watson, Sebastian Telfair and Ronnie Price. It's not a lot of players with some of them that Spurs should avoid.

Sebastian Telfair...that would work out well.

Nice find, mountainballer! Jeff McDonald with the SA Express-News has seen it and posted it on their website, now.

Yep, I know. It shows you how little option Spurs have if they want to sign a backup PG.

Some teams have a logjam in the PG position.

Bucks - Jennings, Udrih, Livingston and Dooling.

OKC - Westbrook, Maynor, Reggie Jackson, Nate Robinson and Royal Ivey

Blazers - Felton, Smith, Patrick Mills and Amor Johnson.

As i said before, my favorite as a 3rd string PG is Royal Ivey.
