He is an atheist and, from what I can tell, he has fairly libertarian political views.

But, he saves most of his barbs for progressive beta males, like most of the douches on this board.

Hilarious book. :lmao

Are you claiming to be an alpha male, Darrin?

That would be funnier than any book could be.

Is that what they call the metrosexuals?

It was a hilarious sketch show. The best one was when they'd get the fat kid dressed in a Boy Scouts uniform and have him do stuff like sell beer on the street, help 'old ladies' across the street, get people to buy him beer at the liquor store, etc. Plus they made fun of Karl Malone, which is always a huge plus.

I've been listening to the Adam Carolla podcast since the very beginning. I love Carolla. I think he is a shitty stand-up comedian, but he is the most down to earth common man with hilarious rants on real world nonsense you will ever find. He is the epitome of real world common sense/street sense.

Highly recommend his podcast. He is an atheist libertarian btw.

Regardless of what the book says, I know that I will never be like the conservatives on this board. I tend to think on my own..

Carolla has numerous rants on such people.

do you have a specific list of progressive beta males on this board?

I didn't know the book was focused on taking shots at progressive beta males. I figured it was just about the feminization of males and how we're being groomed to accessorize like a bunch of high maintenence bitches. Metrosexuals were once the type of guy we point and laughed at, but now most guys do it to some extent. Like that fruitcakes that need all the newest phone and phone apps, or the newest soundsystem or paintjob...it's pretty hilarious tbh, so i might check out this book to see some of his observations.

Carolla rocks.. saw him live at the El Portal Theater last year. His podcasts are the best on the internet. Not all, but a lot of his political beliefs are right on the money.

Oh, Gee!!

I don't know any alpha males who spend so much time bitching about light bulbs and dish washing soap. Pretty sure Darrin complaining about his soap makes him one of the douches being complained about in the book.

Chump used this little digg too. Very original. Even if you hate me, the book is still a good read.

I like Carlin, alive or dead (thanks, Youtube and HBO).

Above, he was his own man, authentic, perceptive, intelligent, creative, fascinated by and fascinating with the power of language.

Forget about 50 years from now. Demasculanization and infantilization of men has been going on for a long time.

Look at ads NOW where the woman ridicules her childish, irresponsible, clueless man, or the man is shown that way.

And look at the beer, etc ads where the young adult (chronologically) male is a drunk, beer-pre-occupied, whatever-preoccupied frat rat. WAAAZZZZUUUP!

"In 5 years, the penis will be obsolete."In before the read:

I thought the nut-kicking feminist brio of the early seventies settled that once and for all. Apparently not.

Exactly when did the penis become relevant again?
