My cousin's nephew happens to live right across the street from Tim, and he said he caught him feeding the fish in his pond the other day, and started talking video games. He then asked him about the Spurs, and Tim said they were just unlucky with Manu's injury and the 3's not falling. He didn't want to say anything about the lockout. He said Tim then offered to take a picture together.

This is why I love the Spurs.
Would you expect that classless jerk, _IRK NoRINGSki to ever do that?
he almost stepped on Malik Rose's ankle in 03. That shows enough about his character

2/10 and yes .. despite you not trying ...
Players are advised to not talk about the lockout. Friends can be an exception I guess, but really most of them are advised not to. I have a friend who plays in the NFL, and he let myself and everyone else know that he "didn't know anything."
Makes sense. These days, players never really know who they are talking to, or how much influence that person could end up having.
Suppose Tim does decide to air his opinion, or divulge some piece of information to what is seemingly a local neighbor in casual conversation.
Next thing you know, Nono is posting it here (like any of us would probably do), where it could then possibly be picked up by the Twitterverse, and onto national outlets, etc...
The internet, especially, makes for an amazing butterfly effect that I'm sure players are instructed to avoid if at all possible when it comes to CBA and stuff like that.

Wish Duncan would be more vocal to the front office about getting some help on the frontline. Duncan totes the company line.

Is your cousin old enough to be an uncle?

Obviously not true!! Tim Duncan doesn't take pictures with fans! LOL, I can't wait for someone to start a "I had a conversation with Matt Bonner the other day" thread. :rolleyes
