Ricky Rubio has reached an agreement with Minnesota to join the Timberwolves next season, league sources tell Y!

There was a Tuesday deadline to sign under rookie scale of current CBA, and no announcement's expected until after Rubio's Euro playoffs end

It's unclear whether Rubio signed agreement on Tuesday, or merely promised to exercise his Spanish buyout on July 1 and then sign with Minny

Nevertheless, RIcky Rubio has committed to joining the NBA and playing for Minnesota in the 2011-'12 season, sources tell Y!

Well, this gets Jim Buss off the hook. Media will go after this Rubio kid now.

just have faith in rubio imo, dude will turn out to be another derrick rose imho. however the wolves FO would probably trade him away fo some picks & craps as they usually did

Agreed. This has been inevitable for over a year now. The Wolves were never really that high on him.

Flynn's trade value is next to nothing right now. Better to hold onto him and see if he can develop into a decent bench player.

he is an aweful shooter from all over the court, very good at everything else however, doubt he ever becomes more than a 12 PPG guy

The better move isn't necessarily the move the Timberwolves will make. :lol

Rubio is a lot closer to a Jason Kidd type player than Derrick Rose fwiw.

Hopefully he replaces that early-Kidd jumper with the senior-citizen-Kidd version though.

Agree dude is all hype smoke and mirrors and some grainy video. Bust factor is about a 9.5

he will be a very good passer and really good in open floor, in the half court tho? We will see. He plays defense however.

sons his skin color is white therefore his chances of having legit success in the NBA is slim to none. that is just the truth. although considering that he is foreign his chances are slightly higher than that of a regular white boy.

Rubio is going to realize how bad he is when he gets torched by scrub point guards day in and day out.

He's a lot closer to a Travis Diener type player than either of those guys tbh

I miss Kyle Orton tbh

He left and all we got is this Ryan Fitzpatrick scrub now. Like when Bubby Brister took over for Elway imo
