Some of the media and league surely does not want it.

This series will still be a very difficult one.

But history will mark this date as about the exact time point when sharp analysts like Sam Smith (and a few others) predicting a potential dynasty will be able to look back and say - I was right.

Other teams and haters be very afraid.

I agreed

Doc: What do you think the spurs will do with their #28 pick and if they keep it?
What is you best guess, I think this draft is very deep.

Scolia and Javakotas next year
The big Russian, Can't remember his name 2 years from Now etc.

What's wrong with three more championships? :p

But I agree all I'm asking - hoping - right now is three more wins :)

A gesture that remains from the days when he worked as a proctologist back in Bahía Blanca.

:lol :lol

Actually, he put both fingers on his ear to hear the crowd roar, and then raised them to point the sky. I believe he was just celebrating, he is very impulsive, not like Q-Rich who always does that stupid horn right after scoring.

On a side note, the entire Manu's family was present at the SBC last night, his parents, his two brothers (both pro-basketball players) and his wife Manny.

Fantastic. Brahia Blanca is several 100 miles from BA. Does BB have an airport?

Yes, but it isn't an international airport. It's an airforce base also used as commercial airport for non-international flights.

He is reminding his team that there are 2 outs.

Even if you DO win, I think it's a little early to proclaim yourselves a dynasty. 3 championships in seven years does not a dynasty make. Ask the Red Wings, and they had three in six years. Unless basketball has lower standards? :lol

I think he said potential dynasty. 3 titles in 7 years would qualify I think. If we were to win say, 2 more titles in a span of 4-5 years, then I think it will be called a dynasty.

Yes, the original poster said "potential," but WarLord is looking for only 3 more games.

It would be nice to have a dynasty that had nothing to do with Chicago or LA. And hey, if SA can do it, then we could too. After all, we are the same team, right?

This issue was bantered around a lot on Basketball News Service (hoopsworld.com) for which I write.

In favor of calling it at least a potential dynasty:

1) Same number of titles in 7 years as Bird and his Celtics

2) Highest winning percentage in games and playoffs overall in at least a 5 season careeer by a superstar (according to Sam Smith) by Duncan

3) Manu as the needed second star - many writers believe he is potentially at least as good as either a McHale or Pippen.

4) Incredible depth on team right now and in pipeline and players locked up for 3-4 years hence.

5) There are few emerging threats (Dallas is A1 in my opinion if and only if Dirk raises game in playoffs) but Spurs will have confidence of having done it.

6) The other and in my opinion true dominate star besides Duncan is Shaq. He is seemingly in decline (but does have the benefit of having a stud like Wade with him next few years).

7) A system = THIS is the most important thing, if Brown leaves Pistons will they have identity?

Those against cited the lack of back to back championships but Spurs can do that in next 3-4 years IMO.

IMO if get 5 with 99 by 2008 = DYNASTY!

I think Spurs likely to trade trade pick and Rasho to get something back if salaries can get worked out! Seems like Pop protecting Rasho from injury!

Couldn't agree more. Another nazr type player and a guard who can create for others and they are damn scary. In fact if terry had half the iq of a fly he would have fouled nash before he could take that game 6 tying 3 and who knows what happens in game 7.

Best winning percentage record of any major sports team over the past few years, two Championships (and one pending), and incredible stars and 'depth on team right now and in pipeline and players locked up for 3-4 years hence."

We may have free agents fighting to come here. Veteran players (Robinson, Barry and Massenberg) want to play here because they know the team is fun and a good chance to get a ring.

Also, We have lower taxes, cheaper whiskey, faster women. :lol

Sounds like a dynasty in the making to me. :elephant
