View Full Version : So Marion isn't a choker...

DUNCANownsKOBE

It turns out, playing with an assist whore who only gave Marion the opportunity to score off assists, never gave Marion the opportunity to develop his own game off the dribble, never develop the post game he has now, and made him appear like a choker. He never got the ball, and when defenses locked in on Nash forcing him to pass, Marion received the ball and had no idea what to do with it.

lol Marion proving me wrong but strengthening my PG theory even more :lmao

Someone who massages the ball and over dribbles looking for an assist opportunity when he should have passed the ball/shot the ball several seconds before he passes it trying to get an assist. Seems like a pretty self explanatory term.

And D'antoni tbh. He shoulda made it Amare/Marion's team and kept Nash as the role player he is. He chose to make the Suns a team extremely dependent on its PG.

The biggest role Nash will ever have on a championship team is that of a spot up shooting role player. Not going very far at all. Not even prime Steve Nash would be a primary offensive weapon on a championship team.

In game 5 against San Antonio, with Amare out, Marion had a whopping 5 2nd half points and missed a wide open 3 to send the game to OT.

To say Marion was clutch is an example of the Phoenix Suns having the most retarded fanbase in the NBA.

Not true. The Suns are only being discussed because of those years. Ring is great, but being a contender is pretty good also.

Cully in response:

^I'm one of those. I'm sure they had a sit with Nash & Hedo, things were said, promises were made.

They can mold Hedo, Warrick and Childress.

Amare was a brick wall.

The Suns don't pick & choose their special purchases foolishly, i.e., Frye/sure he crapped out Vs. us, but, they got precisely what they thought they were getting.

Gentry can teach Warrick & Childress.

Amare was hopeless. The dummy didn't even realize how much an insult the offer of a non guaranteed contract is.

Choking only happens in tense situations when things are on the line and you have an obvious advantage. You don't choke in the 1st or 2nd game of best of 7. You choke in game 7 when you were up 15 with 5 minutes and start heaving bricks or missing FTs.

The series is still young. If the Heat win again in Dallas however, it could be over.
