What do you guys think about Jason Terry getting a ring? Are you guys for or against it?

tbh from what i've read around here it seems you guys have a lot of respect for Terry (as I expect from such a classy fanbase). He's had a long, productive, humble career and it seems that Spurfans have embraced the thought of him getting a ring.

As it should be because i don't recall him ever having beef with any San Antonio players over the years :toast

I think the primary reason Spurs fans don't like him is because he plays for the Mavericks. Sure, his mouth and some of his actions add fuel to that fire but I'd guess that if he came to SA, some people would forgive his Dallas antics if he helped bring another ring to San Antonio.

My personal opinion: Don't really care one way or the other if he gets a ring. He's a good player and a hard player. If he gets a ring, it will be because he did his part to earn it.

Yeah I have noticed the same, for many of these Spurs fans they hold him in high regard like they do with MJ, I have heard many on here utter the words "trade timmay for him" and "Terry>Ginobli", Jet is probably one of most humble people in this world, he wins with grace, and loses with grace, he and MJ have about the same ammount of talent but that is what seperates him from MJ, his classiness.

So you're saying you've never seen that gif of Bowen karate kicking Wally Scerbiak in the face, I'm sure its only been posted around here 2 million times at least.

You're comparing an unintentional kicking to a deliberate dead ball nut punch?

I take it you haven't seen the gif, it looks very intentional (the kick). He extends his leg outward to meet Scerbiak's face ffs.

Since when does defending entail giving a guy a leaping front-kick to the chops?

I wouldn't have been too upset with last night's performance. He more than earned his paycheck with his timely shooting and key steal of Haslem which led to the 3 on 1 fast break.

I'm nuts? How'd he end up with his front foot almost perpendicular to his body? :lol

I'll let ya in on a little secret... Bruce Bowen was a dirty basketball player. Doesn't mean you have to hate the guy or anything. He was damn sneaky about it too, and he never lost his temper (like Andrew Bynum or Derek Fisher for instance) which was pretty cool but the fact remains he was a dirty player.

Now say it with me, "Bruce Bowen was a dirty player but that doesn't mean I have to hate him".

I'm not saying that Bruce didn't have his dirty moments. It's what made him such a great defender. But I don't think in this instance, it's as bad as it looks. That's all I'm saying.

What if the guy grabs the sack and winks at the same time? I'm sure that has to trump your selection as the ultimate #1 all time dirtiest breakage of sports laws.

Thanks for bringing this back on track.

That was the point. Punching someone in the nutsack during a dead ball is far worse than kicking someone in the face while playing good defense. Regardless if the kick was on purpose or not.

Hated his ass after the Mavs series in 2006. I've softened on him a bit now since I've been rooting for the Mavs. I don't really give a shit at this point. Dirk deserves a ring and Terry has to get one for that to happen. Whatever.

Bruce Bowen was a dirty fuck but I love that guy and miss the hell out of him. Every team needs one dirty player. The difference between Terry and Bowen is that Terry is a nut-punching turtle headed faggot with no class while Bowen is extremely classy what with his bald sheen and all. Also Bowen was an elite defender so his dirty tricks went along with his trade while Terry just picked his spots to be an asswipe.

Honestly though I don't even really dislike Terry anymore. I used to hate the Mavs but now I don't care. They have reshaped their team dramatically since the 2006 Chokers and have become what the Spurs used to be. Fuck the Superfriends, I really am pulling for Dallas because I can stand Terry getting a ring because he wasn't celebrating 8 titles before the season started.
