of course because they lead 2-1 :wakeup
Since the 2-3-2 Finals format started, when the series is tied 1-1, the Game 3 winner wins the :lobt2: every time. It's a safe bet. :toast

that's what I'm saying why would you bet for a team that's trailing 2-1 and is on the wrong side of the stats? :lol

If the other starters play up to snuff, the Mavs win this game easily.

oh well good win by Miami...to bad LeBron James is probably not going to win the MVP award...Cavs fans will unfortunately have comfort in that, at least

Mavs were +12 in Dirks 42 minutes. -14 in the 6 minutes he rested.

As I thought, Haywood being out hurt Dallas. That stretch of Mahinmi being in was brutal.

carlisle has made sa bad decisions sitting dirk when they tied the game or momentum in their favor. When you have the momentum, don't sit your superstar and go for the lead, imo.

Sorry but a 3 in the first Q doesn't have an effect down the stretch.
Oh yeah- except on the scoreboard.

Chandler was never in foul trouble. With the increased amount of TO's in the playoffs, and the increased length of those TO's it's assinine for Chandler not to play the entire 48 minutes.

:lol How JJ managed 4 TO's in under 20 minutes I don't know.
Ditto with Pejas -11 in 6 minutes.
If Marion could make a layup tonight, we might have come away with this game.

All of the calls went the Mavs way but they wasted it with stupid, bumbling turnovers. Including Dirk's on the next to last possession.
I still don't understand why Dirk didn't try to draw the foul on the last shot- or take it to the hoop & force the refs to make a call. God knows he'd been getting the calls most of the night.

That fadeaway has been so automatic for him, but still, you're completely right.

don't wanna admit it but the refs were doing a fine job in this series imo, slightly favoring the mavs even. can't blame the officiating imo, we had the chance to win but we omitted it, mavs just fated to be ringless forever imho.

I've also got to question Carisles decision to go with JJ beaner early in the 3rd instead of Stevenson. I don't know what hes seen from JJ this series they made him think that was a good move, but it cost us.

still soft minds imho, heat be the only true contest dem mavs confronted, softness be exposed again no different than dat 06' finals. however i still believe the mavs can win one game more before the heat close things up. heat in 6

Miami has been horrible on offense, but their D has been extremely good this series. They're just too athletic for JJ, he isn't fast enough to break their pressure. It's not Fisher or Westbrook this series, so the lane is also a lot more active. Barea's been awesome but he's in over his head.

hate picklebreaths but can't argue against this one tbh. JJB & Peja should get NO minute against the heat imho, dem can be good against soft teams however when you take on the a whole bunch of beasts like the heat are, some true NIGGAS are wat you need imho. brewer & Stevenson & marion can all do a fine job handling wade/lebitch imho

Wow...Lebron just got son'd by a reporter..."why are you shrinking in the 4th quarter."

Are you guys still thinking that LeBron is the greatest of all time?
Alright, just watched the game and have to say that Lebron isn't even as good as prime Duncan let alone best of all time. Even though TD is a bigman he's usually a lot better than Lebron in crunch time.
Lebron's got holes in his game and he's not very consistent in crunch time. Crunch time is THE place you need to be consistent if you want to be one of the all time greats. He doesn't seem to have the handles to get to the rim with the game on the line unless he charges or goes through people with his physical strength. Wade is definitely in another league with the game on the line IMO.
I'd say all these players have been better than Lebron overall up to this point until he proves otherwise and becomes a consistent closer :
Shaq
TD
Kobe
Dirk
As far as crunch time players go:
Kobe
Manu
Wade
Dirk (I put Dirk here because those other guys can get you a steal, a block an assist to win the game without taking a shot)
Roy
It's really weird watching these playoffs because I am so used to Kobe, Manu, Tim having the ball in their hands at the end of the game and usually making good plays. These playoffs I've seen fuck up after fuck up after fuck up in crunch time from a lot of the players that have been hyped up by the media.

Doesn't look good for the Mavs now. Teams winning Game 3 after being tied 1-1 are 11-0 in winning the title.
Wow, I didn't know it was that conclusive.
Also, considering the Mavs only win required a miracle comeback, it looks like the Superfriends got this.
Dirk just ain't getting enough help. LOL, Lakers getting beat by Peja.

Spurs and Lakers fans are like old Korea/Vietnam vets stuck in an apartment together. Instead of having a beer and talking about old times, they're trying to fight each other over who killed more commies.

LOL not a bad analogy ...I just like to break balls when they decide to bring up Kobe or the Lakers in random conversations that aint got shit to do with us. As a Laker fan i respect the sPurs ...and some of their fans. But they hate us so much it's funny ...we only reserve that level of venom for the celts.

You tend to hate the bullies. The C's are the Lakers' bullies and the Lakers are the Spurs' bullies

I would say that given the period of dominance that the Lakers and Spurs held sway over the NBA in the oughts, it's natural for Spurfan to be a little obsessed, especially given the relative youth of their franchise and subsequent first rise to prominence alongside LAL. I.e. "I've had more reds on the end of my bayonette than you've ever looked down the sights at!"
