I don't ever wanan hear Lebron and MJ in the same sentence ever again.

I wont go that far yet ...but it's getting close.

Agreed. About as absurd as mentioning Kobe in the same sentence as MJ.

Now Wade, that's a different story. 2nd best SG to ever play the game.

naw, you can't rule the dude out yet. i'll admit it's getting harder to defend him, but there are still more final games to be played, although I thought he was coming out tonight and going to drop 40, so it shows what i apparently know

Well i take that back Wade showing niggas how NOT to get it done ...

Lebron ....wow, just wow.

Look I truly believe he still has GOAT potential but when we gonna see that shit? come on Lebron shit on these m'efers ....

Serious question what about other Mavs or heat players catching that shit especially Haslem and Anthony?

He had it from the day he stepped into the NBA, just like 10-15 other players that have come into the league. He will never be a top 5 goat player because he gave up his chance when he went to Miami, he has essentially become the 3rd option for the Heat...

The guy still has not developed a go-to offensive move. Elite defensive clubs won't let you walk right into the paint whenever you want, and the only thing he can do outside of that is stepping into a long 2 ball or shooting a 3 straight up. Dallas is a good defensive team, but they are arguably the worst defensive team in the finals the past few years. They're undersized and slow and have to rely on a zone when it comes down to it.

To me, even if Lebron wins 3-4 rings with this Heat team (which would probably be best case scenario at this point), I don't think he'd break into the top 10.

One thing I will say though, I put Wade at fringe top 5 SG (top 30-35 overall) and now I have easily in the top 4, and depending on how the next couple of years turn out he could definitely pass West for #3. To me, what he's done in these finals is more impressive than 06. He now can score inside and out and doesn't have to rely on refs to make him an efficient scorer.

Mavs could be up 3-1 or Miami 3-1 to be fair

Not being a homer, but I take Manu in a big game before Lebron.

Heat could be up 4-0. Probably should be, actually.

I would agree with that, but Heat can't blow this team out. Every loss for either team is gut wrenching.

heat blew such a huge opportunity. mavs kept missing so many open shots u gotta pounce and win. reminded me of game 4 of the 09 finals. Lakers had no business winning that game especially with the magics 18-2 ft advantage.

His team is winning. Why should he change what he's doing? NBA fans care too much about the individuals some times.

Good point.

This was the heat's chance for sure. You were basically playing a Dirk-less Mavs and you lost a crucial game that would have locked up the series.

I still think Miami comes back and wins game 5 b/c I don't think the Mavs supporting cast will play as well as they did this game, but really who knows at this point

No doubt that Wade is a beast. But just because West played 30 years ago and is white doesn't mean he wasn't also a beast. He was an incredible shooter- especially in the clutch and he had amazing hops and could take it to the hoop with the best of them.

Watching West and Elgin Baylor together was amazing shit. Baylor is another of the all but forgotten all time greats.

Not hating on West when I put Wade over him, but a 6' 2" SG, who was above average athletically, wouldn't succeed in the modern era as a prolific scorer (you might be inclined to state Iverson, but West was nowhere as quick). I think West would play point guard in today's game, and be quite good.

Watching old highlight films isn't the same as watching a guy win game after game, time after time. There is a reason that he is the logo. I'll give Wade his props- he is awesome. But of players from the earlier days, West in the modern game would still be a superstar.

I'm inclined to agree, but at point guard not at shooting guard.

No reason why Heat offense should ever be so stagnant. Failure in coaching IMHO

Dirk is such a stud. Sitting through the post game press conference patiently. And he is sick as a dog. He just wants to go to bed, but he's not trying to get out of there. He's taking the questions like a man and answering them just as thoughtfully as he always does. I love that man.

Yep- 6-4 is a little small for a PG today. But he could still play. Guys like Cousy or Havlicek who were awesome in their day would struggle with today's athletes.

You can play SG at 6'4. I don't know West's wing span, but somebody like Wade who's 6'4" can play SG easily due to having freakishly long arms.

When the game got even and nobody could buy a basket he should have taken over or at least try to.

They didn't travel and carry the ball like they do nowadays.

Going to sound strange considering he bricked a ft and fumbled the ball, but that was a clutch save by Wade to get the ball to Miller. The ball was in the backcourt and Wade leaped, caught the ball, and threw it into the frontcourt before his body touched the floor. And it went right to Miller, who he could barely see.

I was amazed he even got that off.

Great point picc. i was saying the same his shot selection was poor in the 4th ... but his court sense and awareness is amazing. Even on Terry's late made FT's WAde had time the rebound perfectly no way the Mavs get that board if terry misses and Wade flew in from the top of the circle.

West was 6'2". I just don't see him scoring like he did at the 2 guard against guys like Artest, Bowen, Wade, Tony Allen, etc.

I think he would be a Nash type player with better defense.

Not only that, but he was an inch away from blocking Dirk's gw layup. Dude missed it by a hair. His court awareness and IQ is crazy.

Not saying his bball IQ is not high ...but i think it's that awareness is what makes him special ...he senses gaps in the defense, anticpates loose balls soo well.

I dont see why people have to bring up the player I wont name ....both are great but this is about Wade not ANYONE else really except maybe Marion and Bosh who have both been better than expected. Surprised to see Bosh's FG% this series he has been great early not much late except the GW ...

and of course Lebron ...i think whther you believe in his talent or not we are all waiting for him to make us bear witness again. If you believe you know it's coming ...if you don't you revel in his struggles. I think he is overdue and game 5 will be his coming out party ...
