Don't overreact. When Miami goes and hires Riley or Phil Jackson it's game over for the rest of the league. They're just too talented to not be pretty heavy favorites for the next 3-4 years.

Wow. I can't believe it. The Mavs finally did it. This is the best moment in Dallas sports history in my opinion. The Mavs have a championship. They beat the Superfriends too which was awesome. Dirk, Kidd, and JET finally have rings. No one can ever take them away. The Mavs are no longer 0 and forever. They have a championship. Dirk and the Mavs are finally getting props for the first time ever. This is amazing.

Dirk on his way to the biggest chokejob in NBA history. Wow this surpasses '06

How could you say this after Dirk raped your team in the 4th quarter and has done it all playoffs long?

ROFL LeBron James will never be looked at the same ever again. Even me, a longtime James supporter, is looking on him as one of the biggest vaginas in modern day NBA history.

Total total overrated tool

I used to be a pretty big Lebron fan and thought he played the game the right way, but he has totally screwed up this season.

Wade and Lebron don't want to shoot.

Neither of these guys are great shooters and neither is great in the post. Maybe they are not as great as a lot of people thought they were.

I'm happy for Dirk and Jason Kidd - not so much for Jet or Cuban. But hey, all Cuban's money and effort finally paid off.

I've always liked Kidd since the 2003 NBA Finals and never hated Dirk at all. It was mainly some of the other players on Dallas that really made me dislike them. When Nash was there I liked him too.

Back to Kidd I still recall him in the 2003 finals and remember him playing his ass off and leaving it all out there on the floor. He did everything he could for the Nets, and when that series was over Jason said that he is not disappointed at all because he really gave it everything he had, and left it all out there on the floor so he had no regrets. I really do respect Kidd for that and it's a great example that you can take a lot away from. I don't know if Lebron and even Wade can say that they left it all out there. Kidd is a winner and competitor. Great player.

Dirk's lockerroom walking bit just got old.

Pretty lame right there. I guess the german is too afraid to see the camera's catch him crying?

Why is that lame? I think he may have done it because he didn't want to shake hands with Lebron and Wade after they clowned him. Maybe Dirk just gave them a big FU. Having said that he was probably just emotional, but it would have been cool if he did it for the reason I just said.

1. Mavs beat the supposed team no one wanted in Round one, surviving an epic collapse to do so ...

2. They beat the two-time defending champs, handily ...

3. then they beat the so called future of the NBA ...Kevin durant and westbrook ...

4. then they rained on the heatles parade ...

They survived key injuries ...Mavs were the best team in the world today and are soo deserving even that tweety bird head having Jet Terry ...mad props.

Needed 74 to capture the trophy, now they have to press reset and pray the rest of the league doesn't improve/make moves to counter what they've done in some capacity and that they'll even be able to upgrade slightly after the new CBA is agreed upon with the money they have tied up in the Super Friends.

Mavs were a really resilient bunch in these playoffs. They were like the terminator in the sense every time they got knocked out that they found a way to re-adjust and adapt very quickly. They came back so many times whenever it looked like they should have just lost some of the games.

Speaking of Red headed step child can you please take Bonner?

I'm not from the US but I would prefer the trophy to stay in Texas than go anywhere else. It's good that it is back in Texas.

Also, I don't think I posted this yet, but congrats Dallas.

I want to see teams getting a beat down anytime they come to Texas for those 3 game road trips. I don't want to see teams like Boston come through and leave 3-0 like they did once or twice before. Teams need to be sent on their way 0-3.

The place was packed and LOUD for not having an actual game. Still got the final 2-3 minutes recorded on my phone of everyone going apeshit.

The line to get the finals newspapers and merchandise like hats and shirts literally went around the entire AAC concourse. Everyone was singing "We are the champions".

The Mavs became champions at the expense of the team that stole their first championship. I stayed up til about 5am that night just in shock and awe and relieved that the Mavs finally got over the hump and won what they should have won in 2006. And it worked out where I go to go to the parade later that week. Best night as a sports fan in my lifetime.

The Mavs' championship trumps any of the Cowboys' championships and the Stars championship in 1999.
