Lots of people around here, especially Mavs fans were consistently frustrated as hell with Carlisle, especially with him giving so many minutes to Barea, and his tendency to shy away from Roddy B and Mahinmi.

how wrong we were, dude knew what he was doing. dude is a helluva coach, especially when it comes to adjustments. he is great about holding his team accountable, but is also the first to defend and stick up for them. he requires mental toughness like crazy, and this team proved to everyone they arent "soft" or "weak mentally". these are some bad ass motherfuckers.

Nah dude, JJ took a massive leap this year, and it's a sign of what Roddy can achieve if works at it. His defense is still awful one on one, but he is a pest in the zone.

Most importantly he learned how to play the pick and roll to perfection, which always confused him. There aren't many players out there that know exactly what and when to do it in a pick and roll. Add that to his impressive repertoire of shots around the rim and you got a great change of pace player. If the Mavs can keep him on the cheap it will be a great addition for the years to come.

He wasn't so good before, but this season the Mavs were looking great since the start, to the playoffs and finals. It's a surprise they were able to overcome injuries of important players.
