As the Dallas Mavs celebrate their first NBA championship - and congratulatons to them of course - I've had time to take in the usual post-championship hoopla and the glut of media interviews that have become one of the spoils of that accomplishment.

As I've watched and listened to Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle make numerous local and national interview committments ove the last 48 hours, that started me thinking about Pop. I simply cannot remember him making very many post-championship media rounds. I can easily recall some of the players, but I have no recollection of Pop.

Am I missing something here? Did Pop grant many local or national media interviews each of the Spurs championship titles?

Pop has rarely talked to the national media and I don't have any specific recollection of him making the rounds after any event, particularly championships. He does, of course, have a long standing disdain for the sorts of media sessions.

I'm sure this is some deep flaw in his character.

He wouldn't be Pop if he'd done that.

Has he ever done/will he ever do a piece for Out magazine?

With Michael, Matty or Dick?

One of the things I like about Pop is he could give a rats ass about all the hype.

He should be fired for this.

I don't always do interviews, but when I do I make them as boring and forgettable as possible.

Apparently he did this interview. Is that good enough for you? It might just leave an imprint of his dick across Tony's cheek.
