Gen. Paul Vallely: Congress afraid to probe 'possible felony' over fears of 'black backlash'

http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=311433

"Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, the chief of Stand Up America, (http://standupamericaus.com/)a national security expert and Fox News contributor, says the "Certificate of Live Birth" released in April by the White House as "proof positive" of President Obama's Hawaiian birth is a forgery, but the FBI is covering the fraud and no one in Congress is willing to tackle the situation because of fears of a "black backlash" if the failings of the nation's first black president are revealed. [/COLOR]
In an interview today with Greg Corombos for WND, Vallely, who previously has expressed concerns about whether the Obama administration is in violation of the U.S. Constitution, said, "His actual birth certificate has never been found in Hawaii nor released from Hawaii hospital there, Kapiolani hospital there, if it in fact did exist."
"We've had three CIA agents, retired, and some of their analytical associates look at it, and all came to the same conclusion, that even the long-form was a forged document," Vallely said...."

"One of the apparent flaws in that document was they listed Kenya as the place of birth of Obama's father, but Kenya was not an established country at that time," he noted."

I didn't copy everything, there is more to his story in the link.

What was Kenya called in 1961?

I was wondering that too, but it wasn't "Kenya," as a country, till 1963. Still, looks like it was called Kenya according to a 1960 map (http://www.maps.com/map.aspx?cid=1562&pid=15853).

doubt it, WND.com devotes about a quarter of its front page pushing the birther dogma. They're invested in the birther movement and keep it alive.

This will never go away, and like i said with the document rel;eased, it just gives the birthers more ammunition.

However, I see the Kenya comment entirely wrong. "Kenya, East Africa" is the proper way to list the birth place of his father for 1961. It's not saying "cityname, Kenya."

It was blatant satire.
So the journalist says. It would depend on a jury seeing the actual article, and them agreeing if it was satire or not.

Have you seen the article? I've been looking for it and haven't found it yet.

We need to see the article for ourselves before deciding.

Now you are indicating "it was" with a note of certainty. If you notice, my wording had no certainty of belief at all.

otoh, it's not real clear it's satire unless you already know how divorced from reality the subjects of the satire actually are
That's why he may have a case. The update says it's satire, but I didn't see that in the piece itself.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I was referring as to if the article can be considered slander, and sued upon that basis. I think it can be, but I'm not certain. I in no way was giving the author of the book credit, or taking his side for a partisan reason. I already indicated he was stupid. Though not directly, Kenya is Kenya. The idea that he tries to use that for a reason discredits him.

I understand you want to find reason to discredit me, but you are doing a worse job than Paul Vallely.
