why trade gasol to da wolves? pau is still a useful player for dem lakers imho, why not just dump artest & trashes and get da #2 pick plus love?
I called Love to the Lakers early in the year. Rambis makes that possible.

Love might give his right nut to see this happen, imo. Maybe. Outside chance.

LOL, What? Let me get this straight... Khan wants an uptempo team, right? So he trades the best outlet passer the league has seen in 35 years? One who puts up monster rebounding numbers and is only 23 years old? And he throws in Derrick Williams on top of that? I would normally chalk this up to dumbass Laker homerism, but Khan is so fucking retarded. I mean Gasol is a really nice player and all, but what the fuck?

Love is a horrible defensive player though. Like his defense is underrated bad. Its even worse than people say. He's in like the bottom 2% of defensive rotation players in the league.

If he ever gets a ring he will become the best who ever played and defense won't matter (like Dirk) and you will toe the line.

Dirk is like a DPOY candidate compared to Love and he's such a better scorer its ridiculous.

This would be a GREAT trade for the fAkers
Bynum was the 2nd best player in the playoffs for the Lakers and with the trade your giving him space to grow in the system. Love is a perfect opposite to Bynums physical/rough and at times immature sloppy play.
Wolves want to match Pao up with Rubio?

The trade would most likely be beneficial to both teams, as both Los Angeles and Minnesota would benefit from the trade. :lmao
The Lakers are also reportedly interested in Minnesota's top draft pick. Recently Los Angeles GM Mitch Kupchak stated the team's desire to get one of the top five picks in next week's draft, claiming that there were good players at the top of the list. The Timberwolves have the second overall pick in the draft, as well as the 20th pick. Either pick might have to be included to get the Lakers to sign off on a trade :lmao
This is ridiculous if true. Give an up an coming all-star caliber player 20/15 double double machine for a guy who could barely average 10 & 5 in the playoffs? And then give em the #2 pick on top of that???? WTF are the wolves smoking? I hope the fan base boycotts the team if is shit happens.

Derrick Williams winning an NBA championship on the Lakers of all teams would get people in that cesspool of a city known as Phoenix so angry. Too bad it's just a pipe dream of mine.

tbh anyone who can complain about living in a city like Phoenix obviously hasn't been around much. There are much worse places to live. SA for one.

I don't live in Phoenix, I live in Tucson and don't plan on ever living in Phoenix again. I make fun of Phoenix for reasons completely different than what you make fun of SA for. All I'll say is

That's a bad trade for the Lakers (srs). Kevin Love puts up big numbers but doesn't have as much impact in an offensive set as Pau Gasol and if possible he's actually considerably worse than Pau on the defensive side of the ball. The #2 pick in this year's draft doesn't have nearly the value it would usually have.

I'd REALLY REALLY like to test out that theory. Unfortunately due to family commitments I'm stuck here. But like almost every white dude I know hates it here. At least where I live. And most of them aren't racists or at least not outright ones.

Kevin love isn't really an attractive add to LAL. He would probably add a few more rebounds, but there is no way he'll put up 20/15 as a Laker because Wolves don't have great rebounders like Bynum and Odom. Those two are also more capable offensive players. He would probably put up.....15/12 at most.
Not to mention his defense and athleticsm isn't as good as Gasol's. His x-factor is hustle, though. Lakers don't really hustle in the paint consistently and Love might motivate them how he goes for rebounds with a pretty decent amount of tenacity, that can keep the tempo going.
If LAL got Williams then the bench gets even better and it wouldn't be Odom, Starter and 3 incompetent players. If not Williams they can get Irving, but that wouldn't solve the lack of an effective starter PG.
I wouldn't go for that trade, Pau can fetch a better trade somewhere.

I think people don't realize how mediocre Gasol was after the first month of the season last year.
All the people in this thread saying the Lakers would get the better end of this deal :lol
Yall niggas need to watch KLove play instead of simply looking at his 20-15 season. Hes white, undersized, and unathletic...he cant create his own shot down in the paint. Most of his points are assisted jumpshots/threes. For those same reasons he doesnt block or alter shots on defense, and he cant defend bigger players. He really only excels at rebounding, the only thing other than that that jumps out is his 3pt range. Everything else hes average/below average. I hope this trade goes down, then we'll see what kind of numbers this overrated nigga puts up when hes not on an 11 win team.

Well it's personal opinion on my part. Plenty of people love living in Phoenix I personally can't stand it. If you want any evidence as to how much of a backwards bible beating city Phoenix has become, look no further than the fact Sarah Palin is moving to the area.

Straight up would have more credibility, but why throw the 2nd overall pick? Gasol's stock isn't high right now and he's much older. In theory he has less good years left than Love.

Everyone who thinks this would be a good trade for the lakers is heavily overrating how good kevin love is. If the Lakers were rebuilding, then this trade would make tons of sense. This trade wouldn't make sense for either team if it were actually real.
