@LarryCoon From what I hear, yes. RT @16XNBACHAMPS: Hey Larry, what have you heard about Shannon Brown? Does he plan to exercise his opt-out clause?

First rat off a sinking ship? Or would that be Phil?

Wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers' FO pushed him to opt out cause of the Gasol ordeal...I'm sure he's getting paid handsomely under the table if that's the case.

I wouldnt mind him on the Mavs. definitely gives them a little more youth and athleticism. and a pretty solid spot-up shooter from outside. I think he worked well playing off Kobe, and would likewise work well playing off Dirk.

Thank God!!! This guy got too big for his britches, shooting fade-aways thinking he's kobe . And the guy never passes it to the post

Now I'll have to put up with Cavaliers fans wanting to re-sign him. There's a large segment of this fanbase which for some reason thinks he turned into an all-world player after leaving Cleveland.

:cry We let Shannon Brown get away! :cry

He is sorely mistaken if he thinks he will be highly sought after. He is an ok bench player (very inconsistent like most bench guys), but his shot still is inconsistent.

I'd be really surprised if he opts out, tbh. He's not as dynamic a player as he apparently thinks he is, and his stock is probably at an all time low after last season. He's also on a good existing team in LA. Combine that with all the questions concerning the CBA...I'd just find it weird to turn down good, guaranteed money.

Maybe that's just wishful thinking, though.

Why would he opt out? Take the money while you can. He played horrible in 2nd half of season.

Killer-bee leaving the nest and Lakerfans are happy. I don't know why he's a decent bench player or trade asset. This would just make the bench even weaker. Also he only gets paid 2.4mil so it is possible for him to find a better deal.

nope its that us Lakersfans know to think the opposite of what ever you say.

ie. You say its a bad thing...which REALLY means its a good thing.

Not ever. For every dunk that he turns over, he replaces it with at least two turnovers and three bricks.

Well, you do have to give him a little credit for having like 3 half court buzzer beaters in the season. He is pretty inefficient, though.
