Kawhi Leonard is a boss defender and athletic and Joseph plays solid D as well. CJ is a bit of a surprise but overall like the picks.

SA needs to get back to tough defense and what made them what they are

Its never too late. I would venture Bonner doesnt play as much next year and Jefferson is prob going to have his mins eaten by Leonard sooner rather than later

Love the Leonard pick. Now get rid of RJ and Bonner.

Bonner isn't leaving. He's money in the bank. So Pop overplayed him, we had the best record in the league while Pop was overplaying him. Yes he's a point bleeding machine, he's not going anywhere. Therefore, focus on what we have. We've seen a million "bonner/RJ suck" threads. I was saying the same thing about Bonner 3 years ago. I said it about RJ when he arrived in SA. I have also voiced my concerns about Blair early in the year only to be told that I didn't know what I was talking about.

So, big front court to allow Tim some time to do his work, and to get some rest. If we can get a decent record by the break, we should be ok in the 1st round of the playoffs. However, depending on who dumps games to play us, it could get interesting again.

I never understood why they never brought over that big bastard Javtokas.

Because a motorcycle accident robbed him of his amazing athleticism :depressed And I remember there was a time where we thought he was coming over but he ended up signing with another euroclub which unofficially meant he was never coming here

unfortunately leonard cannot play 48 minutes a game. jefferson will force his way into the rotation or pop will force him in to justify his confidence in him. 40 million reasons why

Money has never been a reason why Pop would play a player. It's always his way or the highway.

True dat. If they can somehow locate one of these types of bigs in free agency, and limit Bonner's minutes, I'll be convinced.

RJ is "only" owed about $30M for the next 3 years.

It looks that way. Not sold until I see it happening though. Especially Pop getting on Ginger's face when he starts with his usual missed rotations.

Can't believe RJ is getting blame. Guy shot 45% from 3 for Christ's Sake. Not his fault our bigs couldn't box out Zach Randolph.

someway/somehow

Why would you ship him out? Everything I've read says there will be a buyout clause in the new CBA, wouldn't it be preferable to wait until then to trade him when his heavy contract isn't quite so heavy?

what!?

RJ sucked so much Dick in the playoffs that Pop was forced to sit his 9 million dollar man for the last 2 games.

9 million dollars. To be sat on the bench the last 2 elimination games. And you can't believe why he's getting the blame???

True, but Leonard backing up RJ is 10000000000000000 times better than playing Manu at the 3.

The main problem with Jefferson is that his salary is too high.

And he doesn't care enough about winning.:depressed

But he's a plus player and he can and will contribute. RJ is not the problem with the Spurs.
