View Full Version : So is Dice staying?

I'll admit, I haven't been on SpursTalk much since the Playoffs, but is there any word on Dice staying or not? I remember him saying it was his last season way early last year, then changing his mind as the season progressed and we were kicking ass. I know he was probably bummed out with how the refs didn't let him defend Zach Randolph at all, but I haven't heard anything about him.

I'd love for him to stay for one more season. Should come off the bench with Blair and have Tiago start. And with a training camp now, he shouldn't have any excuse.

Spurs have one week to decide what to do with Dice. They have 3 options:
- Waiving him to save some money.
- Trading him since his contract is a good trade asset.
- Asking him the favor the push back the deadline when his contract becomes fully guaranteed like Suns have done with VC.

Spurs would probably end up waiving him. My dream would be that they find a trading partner willing to take RJ + McDyess contracts, but that's unlikely.

What would it cost $$ to keep him around for another year anyway? The guy had some pretty damn good games last year.

he is probably waiting to see what kind of team Spurs bring. Last night was definitely not a good sign.

I think a deal with MJ could happen, he's the only person stupid enough to take RJ.

Dice has decided to retire. The only unknown left is if Spurs will waive him themselves or of they will first use his contract in a trade.

I personally would love a Blair/McDyess for Tyrus Thomas swap. Very unlikely though.

Any team wanting McDyess is probably looking for salary relief. Taking on RJ's contract seems counter-intuitive.

No way, Lewis stretches the floor with his 3pt shooting one of the few big's in the NBA that can stretch the floor, stretching the floor>defense, offense, rebounding, EVERYTHING.

We need to package RJ Bonner Mc D and Parker.

Those 4 off our team make us contenders even if we do not add anyone to the roster

Problem is, he can't sink those threes when his team needed it. He can't defend, rebound, EVERYTHING when playing under pressure. :sleep
