Interesting moves for the Spurs. Preface by saying that this was ultimately the worst draft (player-wise) I have ever seen.

I was glad to see TP not shipped for the Sacramento rumors. Let him play the first few weeks get the value high again then move him at the beginning of the season. I would like to see him packaged with RJ, Bonner to give us something.

I was glad to see Hill moved. I liked the kid and the effort that he brought. But his demeanor off the court was sketchy and he had no offensive game so-to-speak.

Lets get into the draft-

Leonard: Do we really need another tweener? SDSU requires a high tempo game. If our "coach" tries to push the tempo he will be a decent fit. But he has limited post moves. To me, this is another Blair without the girth. The best part of his game is rebounding, similarly so is Blair's.

If the tempo is high like it was IN THE REGULAR SEASON and we are shopping Blair (in a package) this could be a great pick. If we play half court BS because our coach thinks that Tim and McDyess can dominate the post like we did in the PLAYOFFS it was a tremendous waste. Although we did get rid of some garbage in Hill.

Joseph- Ultimate FAIL. Has trouble getting off a shot and doesnt dribble well. Being a G he passes at best like Hill. Floor vision problems in an uptempo style of play..... need I go further? Sure. He doesnt shoot free throws well and compared to Daniel Gibson (YIKES). I have no idea about this pick.

I would say that this draft went well for us because we got rid of Hill and DID NOT settle for garbage players for TP. There is nothing we have acquired that is great.

Goes back to coaching. Play the young guys this year, get rid of Parker. Get into the lottery. Draft Sullinger.

LOOK AT HOW HE SCORED. Just because they didnt use transition effectively doesnt mean they did not run the ball.

The Aztecs can play a few different ways, excelling in an up-tempo early offense and transition style, while also scoring efficiently in the halfcourt in the post and off of cuts.

Read more: http://basketball.realgm.com/article/209942#ixzz1QXpGIWM5

Gay on Temple trying to slow down San Diego State's fast tempo: "We definitely try and play an uptempo game, try to speed it up. When teams try to slow it down on us, we might come out more aggressive on the defensive end

Again you need to watch the games. Then comment. They sped the game up and tried to be extremely aggressive on defense to turn it into transition offense.

Nicely done. You guys are all idiots. Just because YOU CANT SCORE IN A HALF COURT SET doesnt make you a half court team. That was the whole reason they are considered a running team. They blew at half court.

No, I didnt think we were going to find a good big man in the draft. Which is why I stated that we should give up Parker for a top pick next year. I am with you on the offers for Parker. But the reality is when he BLOWS multiple playoffs in a row we arent getting much more than dog shit for him anyway.

My name on another site was TradeTp. I posted this would happen two years ago. Once Duncan hit the "average" Parker would be exposed, MUCH LIKE POP. If we traded Parker two years ago, we would have had something. Now we have to pray he goes off the first 20 games double-double style, then trade his french ass.

Additionally, the rate of good players in the NBA is dropping. We will never find another big that fits our standards.

WE dont need a pg who CANT pass the ball, create for wings, defend, or come up big in playoffs.

WE DO need a big who can score and is physical.

Maybe Sullinger would be a bust. But Parker has proven he isnt a leader, a piece to build around, or a top PG in the league without all the correct pieces around him.
